Chloe F.Don't hire this company for large jobs! We had to replace water pipes in our home. We were initially told the project would take 3 days (first red flag) and it ended up taking much longer. Raymond did a poor job of communicating the project schedule and next steps. We never knew when he was actually coming by to complete the work. When we called for updates we got the run around or he blamed it on other entities.
One of the last steps was replacing the concrete, seen in the photos. We asked how many people would be working with him, he said a few around 4 people. In actuality it just was him and his son that helped. This was the sloppiest concrete job and evident that Raymond, a plumbing expert, has no business laying concrete. He definitely should've outsourced this part of the project. The concrete is uneven and bows down, which is a safety hazard. Left a broken piece of the wood frame in and just overall the messiest concrete application I've seen. Our garden bed is ruined, he didn't put enough dirt back before adding the brick.
We're extremely unsatisfied with Odemz craftsmanship. We would've appreciated if Raymond was upfront about his capabilities and any changes in the project schedule. We feel he just took our money, knowing he didn't know what he was doing.
Brendan J.Greatest! Thank you for quick assistance and honest pricing. Will be a returning customer.
Paul B.Came out for leaking kitchen sink with very short notice. Quickly found leak and repaired for a very fair price. Will certainly use again for any plumbing issues.
George S.Raymond came out same day to replace a gas water heater. He quickly diagnosed the issue and within a short amount of time he had a replacement. Took him less than 2 hours for the complete job. Extremely happy to have our hot water again and would recommend Raymond for any plumbing issues. Bonus....he had the best prices!!
My water went completely out before Christmas and I had no clue what to do. Mr. Raymond came to my home right away after making the request for plumbers and he confirmed what another plumber told me, which was that I would need to replace my water pressure tank. However, he also replaced my pressure switch and turned the water back on, so I had water for about a day or two until I could get my tank replaced. He was easy to talk to, he explained to me what he was doing and why, and he appeared to know what he was talking about. I eventually went with a different company, but only because their price to replace the tank was a little lower, which helped my limited budget. Otherwise I would have continued to work with Mr. Raymond. I would recommend him.
Odemz was a subcontractor for our house renovation, and was awful in just about every way a plumber could be. I'd strongly recommend against ever using them.
One of the most important pieces of plumbing code is that your drain lines (pipes from toilets, sinks, etc to the sewer) need to have a minimum slope down depending on the size (see https://up.codes/s/slope-of-horizontal-drainage-piping). There are arbitrary parts of code, but this certainly isn't one of them; if you don't do this right, your pipes won't drain properly and will get clogged. Any plumber worth a damn should know these slopes and make sure their pipes have the minimum angle. Clearly, Odemz is not one of those. I double checked the work Odemz did because it looked off and indeed about 1/3 of the pipes he had installed were too flat. One actually was sloped upwards. This was sloppy work that wasn't up to code and would have caused us years of trouble if we hadn't caught it.
Once the issue was caught, our contractor insisted that the work be fixed up to code, but the plumber basically refused to; he said the pipes had a slight angle and that was good enough. I don't know if he genuinely didn't know what was required by code, doesn't know how to read a plumbing level, or just didn't want to do it, but any of those reasons are pretty damning. In the end, our contractor had to hire another plumber to come in and fix the work Odemz had done.
That wasn't the end of it though; our contractor offered to pay Odemz if they could get Odemz's insurance info to file a claim, but Odemz refused, stormed off, and filed a mechanics lien against our house for not having gotten paid for the work.
To say the least, I would never use Odemz again in a million years.
We awoke to a mini flood in the basement yesterday due to a water heater overflow. We immediately reached out to Odemz Plumbing as Earl has done plumbing jobs for us before. We did not have to wait long. He came over in 30 minutes, assessed the situation and determined our exact problem. He triaged by checking pipes and pressure inside and out, which had been causing an imbalance. After a little more digging he determined the water heater was faulty and replaced it the very next morning. Customers get great value for his expert and efficient services. He's a real gem and his number is on speed dial.
Oba P.I recently had a sink installed and needed a licensed plumber to reconnect my disposal, pipes and new touchless faucet. Raymond arrived on time with a mask on and immediately placed booties over his shoes before entering my home. He explained to me what exactly he was doing and gave me a quote and completed the job in a professional manner. He even discarded my old sink for me. I highly recommend Odemz Plumbing for your plumbing needs.
Odemz Plumbing did a full repipe of our condo not only did he do a great job the price was reasonable. The owner himself completed the work for us in 1 day!! He is absolutely an incredibly hard worker and dedicated to his craft.
