Rae S.I LOVE using O'Connor Plumbing! Whenever I call them they are also polite and informative on my situation. This is the second time I've had them do work in my home and they never disappoint. My technician this time Tyler, I was very informative and gave me all my options to help me make the best choice for my home. If you are looking for an excellent plumber call and ask for Tyler!
O'Connor plumbing has extremely poor schedulers. I called and asked to set up service for my home. The appointment was scheduled. At the time the appointment was supposed to occur I received a call saying they would not be able to come and the appointment would need to be re-scheduled. I adjusted my work schedule a second time to accommodate the change. They then asked me if I new where the water shut off to my building was. I said I didn't and could look into it and I could get back to them. That was all they said. The morning of the appointment I called to confirm and let them know that the shut off was not in my condo unit. They told me they would have to again cancel the appointment. I would need to have my management company make the appointment and all charges would go to the management company which could be forwarded to me. They did not tell me any of this in either of the two conversations before and the women on the phone was not empathic and often spoke over me not allowing me to speak. I don't know how they are once you get them to provide service; however, actually getting them to provide service was not a good indicator.
Multiple very poor interactions with O'Connor. Cody replaced our hot water heater and was professional and punctual. Following that, we called them back to fix a pipe leaking under a bathroom sink and two shower faucets. The pipe leak was seemingly quickly fixed, as was shower #1. We were told they would have to order parts for shower #2, which would take a couple of weeks. A month after the initial ""fixes,"" there was a lot of water in the sink cabinet due to continued leaking and the wood had cracked and warped, and shower #1 was leaking again. We had not heard back about the parts on shower #2. A different plumber came back to fix the sink issue, was there 10 minutes and ""fixed"" it again. Within hours it was leaking. A third plumber diagnosed incorrect work previously done, repaired it and took photos for an insurance claim. He also took photos of the shower faucets so he could order the correct parts (weeks after we raised the issue). I followed up twice with the office on the insurance claim and never heard back. Four weeks after the shower parts were supposed to be ordered, the plumber called to say that he had finally connected with the distributor and the parts would be in after two weeks, and they would then call to schedule the repair. That was six weeks ago, and we never heard from them again. Absolutely abominable customer service and workmanship - I am surprised they have any repeat customers.
Grossly over charged and the bath still doesn't drain. Supposedly had my work order transferred to upper management for review and still haven't heard back. Work preformed on 07/31.
The company is dishonest! They would not tell you the price range over the phone even for a fixed job and then technician comes 2 hours late and tell you that prices are fixed and if you refuse there is $44 surcharge. To change the kitchen faucet the price was $312 it took the technician less than an hour to do it, I asked around, the other companies was charging &180. I would never use them again.
Brandon R.I had a leak in a pipe coming from my holding tank. Its about 3 foot section of PVC pipe. I recieved a estimate from the Tech of $$$650.00 to replace the pipe. I also called and got estimates from 3 other local Plumbing companies in my area. O'Connors was 260% higher than any other estimate. The Tech then tried to up sell me to replace my Hot water tank. My hot water tank had nothing to do with my pipe that needed fixed. He said if I would he could make the pipe repair cheaper. Sent a email to company with no response. On top of all that they charge a 44.00 service fee just for showing up. The other 3 companies did not. Very disappointing.
The work was fine and professional.
I was unhappy with the cost.
I called the office and was told I was charged incorrectly.
Stressful experience.
Allan H.O'Connor Plumbing replaced a gas water heater for me. They provided a free in house estimate and gave other ideas of what to fix/replace. Their quote was in the middle of the road and their availability to replace the water heater was pretty fast.
Both plumbers were extremely friendly and seem to have done a good job. They replaced some shutoff valves during their job as well.
I really want to thank the folks at O'connor plumbing. Both Evelyn and George were so wonderful and helpful when my bathroom renovation was ongoing at the start of covid19. It was crazy and hectic due to the timeline of events, but both of them were responsive and helpful. The work George did was fantastic. I'm really impressed with the quality of work he did. He was responsive, on time EVERY time, and just a really friendly, funny guy.
I hope to god I never ever have to renovate a bathroom again anytime soon (especially when you live in a 1 bed 1 bath), but if I do, I'd call them back in a heartbeat. They were fast, efficient, and friendly, and made it at least disruptive as they could. I really want to thank them for everything.
We needed emergency repair for the pipe under kitchen sink and our regular plumber wasn't available this time so we called O'connor.
The technician was very professional, responsive and did a great job with the repair. However, the price they charged us is very high compared to the work that was done. If you have time and can wait for the repair, we would recommend you to search for other companies that charge a more reasonable pricing.
