Been waiting for a simple response for over a week and neighbors have also tried to get a response. Obviously they do not need the work or they just feel customer service is highly over-rated.

We had a small leak at a water pipe in our basement. To replace an elbow, he added an extra elbow, the charge was $375. It took him maybe 30-40 minutes to do the repair. My Dr. doesn't charge that much!!

Don't bother!

A plumber was sent out to help with a forced air heating issue and told me he didn't service forced air. He then referred me to another person who did and then billed me 95.00 for the pleasure. Not cool at all. Wasted my time and took money and ran.

The person who they referred was fantastic and they will get a glowing review.

I called them to install the hookups for my washer and to install a utility sink. They hooked up my washer, installed a 1.5in diameter PVC pipe when the standard is 2in for newer washers, but neglected to replace the hose with one that was longer or check for leaks. There was minor leakage after 1 load and major leakage after 2 loads. Also, the price they gave for installing a utility sink was $400 higher than a competitor. I suspect they take advantage of female homeowners by giving unfair prices and doing substandard work. I will not be using them again. I got a far better plumber via HomeAdvisor.x

I called this morning to evaluate a basement situation with flooding and possibly build a sump pump. The lady on the phone sends someone who tells me we need to build a sump pump and says to me: i did not come here for nothing, there is a fee of 75 dollars.... The lady on the phone did not mention anything about the charge. I called her and she says that they can not please everyone....isn't that the charge something they should mention? I called 2 other companies which did the same service and charged nothing. Very dissappointing costumer service.

I recently bought a house in Salem and it came with some plumbing problems. O'Connell Plumbing worked two days straight correcting everything. Kevin even came over on a Sunday when I had an unexpected emergency. Besides Kevin I had two other workers here and everyone worked hard, explained everything, resolved the problems and cleaned up after themselves. As a jaded ex-New Yorker good reviews don't come easily from me but these guys were excellent and I would highly recommend them.

O'Connell Plumbing & Heating is my go-to for anything that has to do with my sinks, toilet, shower/bathtub and outdoor plumbing.. They are real pros, their plumbing staff are on time, polite and highly skilled. The rates are reasonable and the work is done on schedule. And they don't leave a mess.

The best investment I ever made with O'Connell Plumbing was to have them install a ""deduct meter"" on my outdoor spigot. (That's a separate meter that the water department reads and does not charge you sewer rates for, because water you use for the garden or kids' wading pool does not go into the sewer and you shouldn't be charged for sewer use.). Not only did they plumb it and set up the new meter perfectly, they also installed the highest quality outdoor faucet I have ever seen, with an overflow/freeze protector. I have long since made back what it cost.

Always there on time, always dependable and reliable. It is hard to find a competent plumber. if any mistakes are made.. and there have been few.. they come back right away and fix them, no cost. there is also a 24 hour number and they have come out for me at night. can't beat that. price is a mid range to high but you pay for what you get.
