Our tenants complained about noises coming from their water heater for some time. We have had several plumbers come to work on that water heater, but in less than half and hour, Rubin diagnosed the problem of too much water pressure going into the water heater. He turned down the valve, lowered the amount of water going into the water heater, and the problem seems to be solved.

I don't think I have ever written a review on yelp before but felt compelled to after meeting Ruben today. Our water heater (from 1991) busted yesterday and we needed someone promptly and at a fair price. We called around to several plumbers and I could tell over the phone that Ruben was the guy.

He came to replace the water heater on time, let me know what he was going to do to improve the set up and gave me some other helpful plumbing tips. He was super friendly and interesting and did a great job. Really stand up guy and I would definitely hire him again. 5 stars for sure!

You need a plumber? You need to call these guys! Our next door neighbor recommended them to us, and we called for a small issue. Atticus came and took care of it quickly and professionally. We decided to have them take care of some other work for us. This time, Ruben, the owner, came. What a NICE guy! He was so friendly and we enjoyed talking to him while he was working. He took care of everything making sure it was done well and right. He highly values the quality of his work. Atticus came in also with another helper, Ocean, and they are also really personable guys who clearly share their boss' work ethic and respect the reputation of his company. This is the best experience I have ever had with a plumber; Ocelot will be our go-to for any plumbing needs we have. Oh, and they don't break the bank either. Ruben is very reasonably priced. Highly recommended! We add our 5 stars!

If you care about such things...working with people who are honest, smart, and interesting. ..In other words, people you trust and enjoy, give Ruben a call. You won't be disappointed! He doesn't charge extra for solving the problem faster or better, or for the money-saving tips. You will not say ""goodbye"" hoping never to see him again. Nor will you wonder if you paid for something you didn't need, or paid more than necessary for something you did. All very important considerations for a penny pincher like me. Keep up the good work, Ruben!

These guys are great! Ruben knows what he's doing (I shoulda listened to him the first time when he said the dish disposal brand I owned was no good -- he managed to get it up and running for another six months, but it had a spectacular fail later, which he has since cleaned up for me.)

He had a trainee with him this time, named Ocean (great name!), and you could tell Ruben really knew what he was doing while training. Last time he did what he could to salvage an existing disposal unit (at my request since money was tight). Despite the plastic housing his ""fix"" held for another six months. At that time he also noticed and fixed a hazardous situation with the electricity connecting the disposal unit (installed by previous tenants). He also fixed an exterior garden hose leak and repaired a loose handle on a bathroom sink.

This time he installed a better disposal unit, cleared the clog caused by the old unit (now my kitchen smells much better), and installed a new set of pretty hardware on my tub/shower combo. The results were very neat and clean and look good, so they have an aesthetic sense/pride in work.

Definitely would use Ocelot plumbing again. Both Ruben and Atticus were awesome putting up with a myriad of questions with humor and professionalism. He installed a new toilet, washlet and three spigots .. the toilet was a bit different than expected so it was going to take more time and possibly cost me another hour of labor. Final cost came in just a smudge north of original quote despite a little more tricky install of a skirted one piece toilet (hate the other designs) and the addition of a toto wash let. I was pleasantly relieved . Recommend without reservation.

Ruben and his guys were great! Would and will use again. They were great, I had them come in to do the plumbing for a new shower. Ruben was on-time, communicated well and got the job done according to spec. Even better, his price was very reasonable. He does the type of work that gives you confidence that it will get done and will get done right. I have recommended him to friends and associates.
