Honest, reliable and just good guys!

I recently had a bad sewage backup at my place...called Encinitas plumbing on a Sunday morning and got the owner James on the phone right away. He had someone out there same day.

What started out as a simple drain clog, turned out to be a much bigger sewer issue. Dylan was the 1st guy there and was totally knowledgeable and experienced. As soon as the bigger issue was diagnosed, James showed up and explains what the fix was and when they would be back the next morning with the rest of the parts to finish the job.

The next day, the crew showed up as promised (a few minutes early even!) and worked all day to get us back up and running. The used a camera in the sewer line to clearly show me what issues were (tree roots growing into the line) and how they solved it.

Even with a crew of 2 guys there all day, plus James coming by a few times the total cost was half of what most other companies would have charged.

I will definitely call them again.

These guys are great! Easy from start to finish. James was able to get to my house same day to fix our clogged toilet. Super friendly and professional through the whole process. Will definitely use them again should the need arise.

I used Encinitas Plumbing for a smaller job in the past and they were wonderful to work with. Recently, my dad's house had a huge water leak on a holiday weekend morning. I called James and he came out to look at the situation within an hour. He was able to find the problem and start the process of fixing everything. I had no idea where to begin and James made what could have been a huge and stressful situation, instantly better! He kept me in the loop every step of the way.
Considering I know nothing about plumbing, Encinitas plumbing is by far the most honest company I have ever worked with. James showed me everything that was broken, where the hole in the pipe was and explained everything to me. He was fair about all of his costs and his quotes were less than I expected. They were great! Thank you James!

Recently moved in to a house and had several leaks, problem with a water heater. We called james 10.30PM at night and he came over at 5.30 AM and had most things taken care of before we needed accesses to showers, bathrooms that morning etc. Best plumber in town and a great guy!!!

Had James out to fix a clogged drain. He fixed it in 5 minutes and didn't charge since it was an easy fix. He's a great guy and definitely who I will call when I have a real problem.

James helped us out with maintenance on our on demand hot water heater before and I found him pleasant to work with and honest so when our toilets were acting up, I needed a sink replaced, and a few small other things done I called him.
We had some trouble connecting initially (many phone calls because he doesn't answer his phone) but when we finally did he seemed happy to come out and give me an estimate. When he came out to give me the quote he made it sound like he would come back the following day, or the next, and it would be a quick job despite my list. No show, no phone call either day. Three days later I texted him to ask if he planned on coming out that day because by then I had put off errands for 2 days waiting for him and wanted to know when he was coming so I could work my schedule around him and still get out for a bit. No phone call, no text back & no show. So now it's been a week with 2/3 of my toilets not working. Time to call another plumber.
The second plumber was in and out in a couple hours, less expensive and despite his truck breaking down (called to let me know he needed to reschedule) showed up for his second scheduled appointment early.
I think if you can catch James at the right moment he is good at what he does. But reliability matters with repair people, and the complete lack of communication is inexcusable.
Good for you James if you are so busy that you can treat people that way, but I won't be calling you again.

We have used Encinitas plumbing a few times now and they are hands down, THE BEAT plumbing company we have ever used! We live in an old 1950s home and have had plumbing issues for years. All of the other plumbers have told us we need new pipes but James and his team have been able to fix the problems at a fraction of the cost of new pipes and are probably the nicest and most personable people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting!

We just had a water softener and water line regulator installed by James.

James was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. He came out to assess the situation and was very honest about what needed to be done and what was not necessary. He was very friendly and respectful, meticulously removing his work shoes each time he entered the house. We got an honest and professional opinion with absolutely no up-selling.

He came out and did a great job with the water softener and regulator. He also took the time to show me how I could do my own maintenance on our tankless water heater . Other professionals would possibly not have been so kind in sharing their knowledge so that they could charge extra for the services themselves. Additionally, he fixed one of our sinks which had slow flow out of the faucet at no extra cost!

James is an excellent plumber and a super good guy.

We recently moved in to a ""new"" house to discover that we could not use our kitchen sink without disgusting brown water coming up the other side. In a panic I called Encinitas Plumbing and Drain and immediately got ahold of James. He and his mate Cliff came over that same day and fixed the problem.
