Ten minutes before company was coming both bathrooms downstairs backed up. Called on drain company who couldn't come until the next day. Called Encinitas Plumbing and Drain. They were there two hours later right on time. Checked the main drain, then snaked the cleanout. My drains were running and everything working. So thankful for their quick service. I thought the $125 was well worth it.

Did a good job but quoted me $200.00 and charged almost $300.00. Also charged me $200.00 labor and wasn't here more than 30 min total. Granted he had to go pick up the parts. Didn't seem fair to me!

We called James after our regular plumber (the excellent Tom Plumb) wasn't available to fix a blocked kitchen sink. He showed up relatively close to the time window allotted and fixed the pipe blockage.

However, he performed work significantly more costly than his estimate without prior authorization, despite his having agreed to contact us in advance of such work.

Upon contacting him to discuss the bill, he threatened to send 'his guy' over to undo the work and take back the parts he had installed.

Such thuggish, unsavory, and unethical business practices left a very sour taste. We do not recommend using Encinitas Plumbing and Drain and will not being doing so again.

James came out on a SATURDAY morning to fix my kitchen faucet pipe that broke the night before. It was traumatic, old house without a isolated shut off so all my water was off over night. Almost any other plumber would not have come out until Monday, or have charged extortionate rates. James should up right when he said, was lovely with my many dogs, and fixed my problem right up at the quoted price and made my weekend. I now know which local plumber I can trust and rely on, thank you James!!
