Annette A.Hot water heater is leaking and not warming. Monday morning call left two messages with answering service. Midday day second call, the receptionist tells me she didn't get my messages from the answering service. 5 min later a tech calls and says they did in fact get my message and I would get a call prior to visit. almost the end of work day-no call. I call again to find out the update. Receptionist has NO information for me. 5 min later calls back and tells me that they installed new Water heater- without calling to discuss. I get home, cold water and LEAKING new water heater..Awful service and comm.
The weekend service call was a $180.00 for the worker to walk in and walk without fixing anything. He said they didn't have the part but when called on Monday they in fact had the part. It seems they will offer the weekend service to examine the problem but won't fix it until the shop is open during regular hours. What a scam! If you have no plans to fix it on the weekend just say call back on Monday and stop overcharging! Here is the pic of the part at Lowes for which they charged $67.55
Now we find there is a third error in their work... in what was a simple connection of two bathroom sinks. They had to come back AGAIN. The pop-up would not raise on one sink, so it fills with water. The plumber who came said their plumber wrapped the line. He fixed it. I didn't know about this pop-up issue immediately, because it is a guest room and rarely gets used. They had the nerve to invoice me for the correction of their work and when I explained that they were correcting the work they did incorrectly, I was told they'd charge me for 30 min. instead of the full amount. What didn't they understand(?) I think they are retracting the invoice, but they were unclear. This is unbelievable.
JUST DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! NIGHTMARE.
Shortly after I wrote my ""poor"" review, Ocean View Plumbing reached out to me and everything has been resolved. I have always loved the quality of work provided by Ocean View Plumbing and am so glad this has been resolved.
I broke a faucet shut off valve this past Saturday. Called OVP and within two hours the tech was there to fix the issue. Can't say enough about this company in how they respond, treat their customers with very fair pricing.
Tip of the hat again to the folks at OVP!
Waiting for an estimate today. Have used several times in the past, and am more than pleased with their work. One time, told me to call the 800 no. on my water heater, because the part that went, was still under warranty, and the company would send a new part, with easy install directions. No charge, and the company sent the part, and my son easily installed it. I really trust them.

Hired Ocean View Plumbing to replace wax ring on toilet. Later when cleaning bathroom I discovered that only one side of the toilet had been bolted down, the other side was not. Called Oceanview, was told there would be someone in the afternoon to fix. At 4pm called Ocean View and was told no one would be coming today. So I wasted an entire day waiting on a repair from a simple wax ring replacement AND was not called to be informed no one would be coming.
Not only can they not repair a simple wax ring correctly but then they are rude when you call to complain about their ridiculously sloppy work and rude customer service.
Told them not to bother billing me for the initial wax ring replacement, to which they replied ""okay"" and hung up.
Sloppy work and rude.
I will NOT be recommending OceanView Plumbing. Ever.
David B.I really just dislike giving bad reviews for companies when I know that's not always the company just a bad employee. Which was the case with my situation today. The first thing the gentleman said as he walked in was I don't know what thing about these water heaters. So how do you think that made me feel. And it was obvious he didn't know anything about them even though he was sent out here to work on a water heater that I told the secretary exactly what it was. He proceeded to tell me that it was an electrical problem not the water heater. Well then again he was 100% wrong, it was the water heater. So I'm really not very happy and probably won't use them again.
Kent V.We experienced a loss of water pressure somewhere under our house. After calling on a Monday and expressing our concern, there was a service truck at our home the next day before noon and an estimate that same day. The next morning they sent two professional, courteous service men out and did extensive repairs. Couldn't be more pleased with speed, cost, and quality of repairs !
Love these guys. They have been my go-to Plumbing company for 15 years now. If anyone at my house has problems, they can can OVPH and they will come out, fix the problem and then bill me. The last experience was a water pipe busted in the kitchen and filled up the cabinet base while I was away. I called OVPH and they came out, got rid of all the water, fixed the pipe and cleaned up. I was supposed to meet them there, but they were done and the broken pipe was on the porch to let me know they had already taken care of the problem. They sent a very reasonable bill for fixing it. I can't sing their praises loud enough... They were AWESOME! Better than best!
