I ordered a dishwasher from Costco and they contracted Oakes to install it. Kevin called within one hour of delivery to schedule installation this afternoon. He was knowledgable and efficient. My new dishwasher was installed within an hour and a half and he hauled away the old, broken one

Worst plumber ever! Lowe's sent Bob Oakes to replace a water heater that had failed but was still under warranty. Not only did he never return the faulty one to Lowe's so I could be credited but he hooked the new one up backwards so after he left it didn't work. He came back to correct (believe me this was not complicated as an electric with already existing copper pipes) and then after he left it was dripping. Over a year later it is still dripping! He never answered my repeated phone calls.
Do not let this man anywhere near your house!

THESE PEOPLE ARE TERRIBLE!
I would give them ZERO stars. Costco set them up to install our new gas range but they never showed! All they had to do was call us to let us know they won't be able to make it. We received no call and they did not answer our email, or messages. That was 2 days ago! I would never recommend them to anyone. Apparently Oakes makes so much money that they do not need all of their customers. I've had a new in box range in the middle of my kitchen floor for two days. Suburban Propane is coming tomorrow, thank God.

Unprofessional, dishonest and rude. I do not recommend this company for your heating or plumbing needs. We initially had them install a new water heater in our home. After a few weeks water began leaking out of it, we called them back to have them address the issue. They told us they'll have someone come out but never once did they show up or callback to reschedule. After making some unsuccessful calls we gave up and decided we will never use this company again.

I almost never go online and leave reviews, but this one felt important to help others be aware. Bob was contracted to come to our home to remove our old water heater and install the new one we had purchased, and our experience with him was horrible from start to finish. He was a week late scheduling the initial appointment, and then never showed up to do the job once it was booked (both days in a row, as he rescheduled for the following day once he didn't come on the day). I lost two whole days of work waiting for him, having to hunt him down to get updates (each day, several times); and he ultimately just gave a bunch of excuses that resulted in us having to go with a new contractor. He was also incredibly sexist on the phone when I had to give feedback to him about how unprofessional this behavior was, and only later found out - after talking to other community members who have worked with him - that he's shown that kind of offensive behavior to other clients as well. Regardless of your background or the type of job, after this first experience I do NOT recommend working with Bob Oakes. Save your money, and go with someone else.

I only gave them one star because I could not give them no stars The man who showed up for Sears to install my dishwasher did not install two parts the first part was to make things quieter The second part was the cover for the electrical box as we all know electricity and water do not mix he refused to come back and try making a hundred excuses Sears finally fixed the problem with their own people
Do not hire them they are horrible when he was packing his car up to leave I found one of the parts waiting for him to come back in to say goodbye and leave me his card but he never did he just drove off when I texted him he did not answer and when he finally did made excuses and refuse to come fix the issues
I was told by many Sears employees that they are horrible and have always had to go back and fix what they've done If I could add a picture of the text we share that I would but please believe me DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!

Our landlord contacted Bob to fix our water heater. Bob made three appointments and no-showed at all of them during a period of a week. He did not respond to repeated texts from us and pushed the last appointment because he got an emergency call. He never got back in touch after most of the day had passed and we hired another plumber. Very unprofessional.

Avoid like the plague!! How is this a real business? Had an appointment window with Bob Oaks the owner and he no showed. We tried calling and he didn't answer. Finally got ahold of him a few days later and made another appointment window only for him to now show again and ignore phone calls and texts. Take some pride in your customer service. Stay away, there are plenty of other options in the area and Bob Oakes is unprofessional and unreliable

I had used Oakes Plumbing for 10 years. They were always reliable until this last call. Last week I made several attempts to make a service call. Our pump to the hot water heater stopped working. We did not have heat or hot water for many day. We made many After attempts we called another get them plumber. Too bad.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Bob is a complete con artist! He has strung out a job for months and months and not doing any work I could have gotten somebody else to do the job and he keeps having excuse after excuse after excuse to the point where he won't even answer my emails. He has strung out a job for months and months and hardly doing any work. He has my entire house torn down to the bare beams I never told him that that would be OK I just showed up one day and my whole entire house was stripped! All these months, I could have gotten somebody else to do the jobs and he keeps having excuse after excuse after excuse and now we're to the point where he won't even answer my emails. I don't even want to do now hello but I have a house that is unlivable no running water now no toilet whole house torn to pieces my new neighbors are probably sick and tired of the dumpster sitting in the driveway for the entire summer it's causing me so much stress and Bob just keeps giving me lines of crap. There may be a couple positive reviews here, but hey, if you put a bunch of monkeys in a room with typewriters they'll eventually type of word. Any good work that Bob or crew may have done was a complete accident on their part.
