Russ G.J. W.I was quoted $2,000 for a complete replacement of a shower faucet - as it turned out, only a simple repair was necessary, which I did myself for $20.
RGJW.
Sidney is really fantastic. He has been by twice to fix a complicated problem
with laundry vent hookups and pipes underneath the house. He knows his stuff and will do extra. Highly recommended!
Gary M.I am not shocked about the no response from my post JOVAN was the tech. I am telling everyone I know as well as all the real estate companies I work with. It's no so much that the sub standard work but lack of accountability. No follow up to the customer. Shame on Oak plumbing.
Very efficient, responsive, and quality work. I would highly recommend Oak Plumbing for leaks or bathroom issues
Oak plumbing was an overpriced complete waste of time. I hired them to install two sinks, faucets, and drains. I ended up having to install one of the sinks myself because the plumber didnt know how to read the directions to install the sink clips to hold the sink in place. He also didn't even test the plumbing connections, and I had to point out that one faucet was loose and the drain leaked. Then, he didnt even complete hooking up the hot water on one of the sinks because a very small and totally standard o-ring was missing. Instead of solving my problem (the whole reason I hired a plumber in the first place), he just told me to call the manufacturer and left, but without first demanding his totally overpriced payment. Anyone with an ounce of customer service instinct would test his work and get the o-ring and get the sinks working. The charge for this hassle? Over $1300. This is a horrible vendor I'm never doing business with them again. Oh and did I mention he was also late. A couple days later one of the sink drains started leaking. What a joke.
we have a leak which they couldn't find but I found the efforts of their representatives on-site to be more than satisfactory. unfortunately, they were about sixth in line not to find our leak. I can't fault their effort.
What a terrible experience. The technician (Johny) was rude and unprofessional. He took 15 minutes sitting outside my house having a cigarette to come up with a quote. He quoted me $3,500 to repair a leak behind the washing machine, which was ridiculous. I said I didn't understand why it would be so much given the parts are not expensive and this was a 1-2 hour job at the most. He then called his supervisor on speaker and said he was having trouble with a customer who didn't want to pay for the service. He questioned in a challenging way why I wouldn't invest that much in my house. On his way out, I asked him the cost of the part he would have installed. To his credit, he was honest. He said that pipe costs them $8. He sat outside my house another 20 min. in his truck.
I called another company right way and they came out that same day and quoted me $1,450 for the same job. Outrageous! Don't get scammed.
Michael B.Oak Plumbing was quick to dispatch a technician to us on short notice. Travis Ballard was our guy and I can tell you that he is the consummate professional. Worked with our schedule. Life with two working parents, and two kids. Life can get hectic but Travis made it work and fixed our issues quickly.
[Review by my mother, Sharon] WARNING! WARNING! If I could give this company a negative rating I would. I had a LONG review I was ready to post but due to word count I needed to cut down my explanation of my negative review.
I called Oak Plumbing on March 17th, they had Jovan Cummings come. He inspected a problem area near my septic system. Told me he needed a probe to check for the pipes, something I didn't understand but since he was the ""expert"", I let him do his job. I've lived at my residence for over 15 years and me and my husband built our house from the ground up so I know when there are major issues with the septic system. Mr. Cummings got a ""T"" metal probe and began to forcefully stab into problem and non-problem areas uphill 70 ft along the pipeline. I had to go into my house to assist an electrician with something and when I came back out to check on Mr. Cummings, he left without any notice. He did send a quote for work and the pricing was extremely unreasonable.
The next day, I called another plumbing company, who fixed the leak, which turned out to be a faulty bracket but he also uncovered 7 puncture holes along 70 ft of my pipeline that were made by Mr. Cummings. How do I know it was Mr. Cummings? Right after Mr. Cummings left, I told everyone in my house to not run the water until I could find out what was going on. By the time another company came, I had not run the water for about 24 hours (no shower, no flushing the toilets). While the new plumbing was being repaired, we were testing the lines along the way. Each time he would repair one spot, water would shoot out of the ground from another hole. If these holes were made, before Mr. Cummings arrived, it would smell like sewage and the side of my house would be filled with water. It would be MUCH worse than the slight leak that was there before he arrived.
Two days later, after not receiving a phone call back, I drove to Oak Plumbing and was greeted by an extremely rude, unprofessional employee named Ariel Gonzalez. He even said his boss/the owner (Mark Harris) was ""worse"" than him when addressing customer grievances. When I asked Mr. Gonzalez why I hadn't received an acknowledgment phone call, he said he just hadn't ""gotten around to it"" and that he ""doesn't care"" when asked why he was acting like he didn't care. Needless to say the conversation didn't get anywhere. Mr. Gonzalez was well aware what Mr. Cummings had done and didn't dispute the usage of the ""T"" shape probe. However, the following day, I received an email from Mr. Gonzalez stating he wanted to make it right and to reply back to the email or give him a call. I replied to the email stating that if he wasn't willing to: 1) pay me back for the repairs I paid for as a result of the Mr. Cummings negligence, 2) pay for an independent leak detection company to perform a leak detection test to make sure no other holes were made and 3) if the leak detection uncovered more damage, Oak Plumbing would be responsible for paying those damages also, then there was nothing else we needed to talk about. It's been over a week and I have not heard from Oak Plumbing, Mark Harris and/or Mr. Gonzalez.
I have filed multiple complaints with various agencies and there has been no contact from Mark Harris, the owner of Oak Plumbing. I believe I will have to take this company to court in order to regain my loss when I don't believe it's something I should have to do. I have pictures, video and 6 witnesses to back up all my claims and will proceed in court.
Lynne M.Representives of Oak Plumbing have come to my house 3 times recently. Jovan came to assess the situation (needing a new Ice Maker Box for a new-ish fridge) and then Travis came twice. Once to install the Ice Maker Box and then to return, when it wasn't making ice.
Compliments all around. Turns out, it's not that easy to install an Ice Maker Box as it involves all the house pipes and takes a skilled plumber to do it.
The staff (I've met a few of them recently) at Oak Plumbing is the very best. Amy on the phone is so friendly and efficient. I went to their office and met Matt to tell him how much I appreciate the customer service I got from both Jovan and Travis on site and Amy in the office.
Having Travis in my house, to do the work, was a joy. He is so friendly and conversational --- plus he does great work and explains exactly what he's doing, as he works. His second stop at my house was because my fridge wasn't making ice. His previous work was perfect, he re-checked it and analyzed the problem. Water filter needed replacing.
This company is Diamond Certified so I trust them. Their customer service and follow-through is the best I've ever experienced in living in my house for decades and hiring numerous contractors.
