I was helping my mother-in-law with a plumbing problem at her home in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin. We live in Indiana, so we have to schedule work when we can be at her home. A previous plumber came in while we were unable to be there, and fixed two things that did NOT need fixing, and did NOT fix the original problem (which I explained to him by phone and he would have understood if he had run water after doing his job).

To fix the original problem, we contacted Oak Creek and I was immediately sensing that the office person helping us knew what the problem might be and that they could fix it. She worked with us (and contacted us in advance to say when they would be at the house. She also set the schedule as early as possible since we were on a tight schedule coming up to WI. The plumbers were punctual and very professional. I explained the whole issue, what had been done (or not done as the case may be) previously, and where we believed the problem to be. It did not take long before the lead plumber (Bob) and his assistant (Gabbie) properly assessed the issue and had a plan that would minimize damage to Mom's bathroom while properly fixing the problem (a drain leak in piping inside the wall). They did an excellent job, found the original problem, and even though it was a tough job (original plumbing installed in building Mom's house in 1956), they worked diligently (and cleanly) to finish the job. Where they had to cut out a piece of the original vanity, Bob was extremely careful and this will make it easier for me to replace that panel. After completing the ""in-the-wall"" work, they checked it out completely by running water and viewing the piping, then checking it out from underneath in the basement. Overall, they did an excellent job and cleaned up nicely behind themselves. They were also very courteous, friendly, and answered any questions I had about the project. I would highly recommend this firm for plumbing work.

If I could give no stars, I would. Our toilet base was slightly loose and Oak Creek Plumbing did fix that but the sevrvce guy, without permission, Tom decided to replace a flapper saying this is why your toilet is running a times. Um no it wasn't but ok......2 months later and our toilet is producing so much condensation that we have to place towels around it to absorb the constant excessive dripping. Yes, they have come out several times to try and correct the problem they created as we did not have this issue until they replaced something that didn't need replacing. As of today, still excessive condensation and now were told we need to replace the whole toilet because they cannot keep coming out. So, basically they cannot fix problems they create. I mean there's only so many parts to a toilet....why would I have them replace a toilet if they cannot even figure out this problem. Over 500 dollars to fix a bolt and wax ring but now they want us to invest in a new toilet. Will not recommend them to anyone and use them anymore.

I called for emergency service and gave them ALL my info. They had an on-call get to me and quoted me a high price but I accepted. He said he would be here in an hour. While I waited I turned down 2 other plumbers. Instead of coming he called and said his manager told him not to come as he was outside my service area. WOW. I asked to talk to the manager but was told that would not happen. BTW I had gotten a service appointment several months ago for another similar matter so I know I am in their service area. I had to cancel that earlier appointment because they called to say they couldn't make the appointment scheduled as they were too busy and wanted to push it out a week. Bottom line - they are too expensive and unethical as to keeping scheduled appointments. DO NOT USE them.

We called to have a leaky toilet fixed. Without removing the toilet to fully assess the situation, we were told that the toilet couldn't be fixed without a full bathroom floor retile, but that he ""knows a guy""... I had to say three times that we would not be retiling the floor and asking what could be done today to fix the leaky toilet before we finally just dropped the bathroom conversation and I asked about a corroded pipe under the kitchen sink. He told us that we might as well do a full kitchen remodel if we were going to replace the main water pipe to the sink, and he assured us that Oak Creek Plumbing does really nice fake granite counter tops- remember I called to have a leaky toilet fixed. He went as far as to say he ""felt bad for us as first time home buyers"" basically saying our house was a lemon and we didn't know how to fix anything and subsequently insulted our home ownership and said our inspector did a terrible job- even though the inspector was the one who told us to have the pipe fixed and we have owned the home for 2 years and the toilet has been leaking for 2 weeks.

Ok back to the toilet. I was ultimately like do you think you can do anything to help us today and he said ""well I can fix the toilet but know that it's just putting lipstick on a pig and you will need a full bathroom retile which could cost thousands"" (AGAIN WITH THE TILE REMODEL).

As if all of this weren't frustrating enough- he ""couldn't do his job with his mask on""..... quote.
1) we have been in this pandemic for almost a year. If you cannot do your job in someone else's home with your mask on you should not be doing your job in someone else's home. Period. No argument. It is the law.
2) it is my EXPECTATION that anyone I hire to come into my home where my FIVE MONTH OLD BABY LIVES, will have the respect to wear a mask and I need not remind them - see point #1
3) I am a COVID ICU nurse and my husband is a clinic physician and we manage to do our jobs for 12+ hours a day with a mask on. And eye protection. And a face shield. And head to toe PPE when necessary. So you CANNOT tell me that you can't wear your little cloth mask for the two hours it took to fix the toilet. Honestly it is downright insulting.

He was already elbows deep in our toilet, which he ultimately fixed for $420- not ""thousands"", so we shut the door and turned on the bathroom fan. Disinfected everything when he left and kept the fan running all day.

No service person who comes into someone's home should be so condescending and reckless as the plumber sent by Oak Creek Plumbing. Beware. You will be up sold like CRAZY and there is no guarantee of masking during a global pandemic, regardless of how cute they say your baby is.

This company and their employees are amazing! I worked with Daryl and he was my hero for the day. My refrigerator broke and created a huge flood in my basement. Daryl rushed to help me right away the morning I called. I'm so grateful for his hep and service. He was also great in going over and explaining things to me. I now know how to turn off the water for my home. Thank you!

I had my upstairs bathroom sink replaced by ""Mike"" & he did a superb job. Arrived on time, answered all my foolish queries re how plumbing works, and did a very professional job. And he cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend Oak Creek Plumbing.

Terrible service. I stopped in a few months ago to talk about a installation of a shower. Guy at the store said he'd stop by during the week to take a look. No one ever showed up. I received a general email from the company that they send to all previous customers with their promotions, so I responded with my lack of follow through. They contacted me a sent a guy out to my house and he said just purchase the materials and they would install it for me. So I paid $800 for the shower unit I wanted and called Oak Creek to schedule an appointment. I talked to the woman who answered the phone and asked for the guy who came out to me house. She said he'd contact me. No one has called me....

We have had Oak Creek plumbing do several plumbing jobs, including installing a new sump pump. The work was fine, the service men were quick and thorough, and the job prices were reasonable.

We also had them do a bathroom remodel job. While the job was completed on time, we noticed a crack in the vanity counter top late the evening it was completed. They came out the next morning, took pictures and I was told it would be sent back to the manufacturer, but either way, whether it was the manufacturer or OCP, it would be replaced at no cost to us. About three weeks later, I had not heard anything back so I contacted the company. The project manager called back (left voicemail) and said ""as I mentioned, it would be replaced at no cost"" and that it was being rebuilt. No estimate of timing, anything. Almost four weeks later I called back again to check on the status and was told ""it came in last week.""

My issue with them was lack of communication on their part. If I had not called, I'm not sure how long I would have had to wait for my replacement counter top. I mentioned to the project manager several times during the project about their lack of communication.

I'm giving only an A-OK review because the work was completed, but I had to continuously follow up to get any information. When I finally ""had enough"" and complained, I felt the project manager was somewhat rude and that he thought I had no right to complain. For the amount of money I paid (it was a complete remodel/gut job), I should not have to follow up on my project.
