I called Luis to repair/finish a installation that my last contractor ditched. Luis came to my house looked at the work and provided me with a fair price later that day. We scheduled the work for the following weekend.

Luis was in with his guys at 9:00am. They redid the exterior piping and extended the electrical wires to my two condensers. They diligently checked for leaks and determined the issues were within the air handling units where the refrigerant piping was landed. He also added an inline fan to assist airflow since the ductwork was poorly designed by the last contractor. They worked nearly 13 hours and finally finished the job. He even went the extra mile to do some work that was unforeseen. My A/C system is finally running thanks to Luis. Now we are looking forward to a hot summer day to enjoy it!

I would certainly recommend Luis to anyone needing HVAC repairs/installation. He and his crew were great.

I called them Friday afternoon and was informed that luis was on his way from bronx so I took off of work Nancy said traffic might slow him up, never showed or called fast forward to sat morning, I had to call again at 11:30 am still no show called again at 5:30 pm (against my better judgement) and he finally showed at 7:30 pm Coming from baldwin which is 10 minutes away with no calls in between. Turned out I needed a annual cleaning and he charged me 280.00 for this and all he did was change the filter and replace the nozzle . this was not the price quoted over the phone!!! Will never use them again, totally taken advantage of. Should have not let them in my door after 1 day and a half wasted waiting on them

I'm not a person who writes reviews often, but with this company, I said, ""Get out of the way; I'm writing a five star review for them"". So, I live in California, but I have a rental property in NY. Every so often, I've used this company to serve my a/c unit whenever my tenant needed service - so, I've known them for a while. They have always given me a fair price and fixed any small issues - the problem was often the tenant's negligence to even change the filter. After about seven years, my a/c unit broke - the evaporation coil started leaking. The owner, Luis, broke the news for me, so I was upset because that tenant, who is now gone, had destroyed my house, further than the a/c. But, okay, they are gone, good thing. So, Luis, understood my situation and gave me a good deal to change the coil and now the unit works as good as new. Well, here comes the incredible part of my story. My parents who live in New Orleans had had their a/c broke too, but theirs was gone for good, after serving their house for about thirty years. My parents called about six companies for estimates. The prices were unreachable for my parents - it was really sad. So, I said to my dad, ""Pa', I see you have a big problem and you can't afford it. Let me see how my brother and I can help you."" Well, I thought of my wonderful NY Boiler guys and told them what those companies had said. Well, what do you know? Luis and his wonderful team went to New Orleans to install the whole new unit and furnace and all that for my parents! Yes, they did! I couldn't believe it! Luis gave me quote that beat all the New Orleans companies by far, even when he and one of his guys were going to travel by car. So, Luis and my dad talked about details and measurements and other things, then a couple of weeks later, Luis was at my parents' home. He installed a brand new system, plus a new hot water tank for them. My parents paid with much gratitude and appreciation. They had never experienced such kindness and quality from a company. Well, I've been their customer for years, but I have to say, that, even so, this is remarkable. I truly recommend this company. They will treat you like a cherished customer and might be there for you, if they can. Thank you, Luis and Joshua, for going beyond the mile for me. You are more than an a/c company for me; you all are my friends. It's hard to find companies like these in big cities, anymore. Thank you, NY Boiler, for everything and for giving us an estimate we could afford!

I highly recommend NY Boiler & Air Conditioning Repair! I've had issues w/my AC and after pricing others (who were trying to rip me off), Luis immediately knew what was wrong and gave me a fair estimate. They were on time, were extremely friendly, Professional and completely reliable! I'm SO grateful for all of their knowledge and being able to rely that they're honest & won't rip me off!

If I could give (-)1000 starts I would. This company is a disgrace...used them last year when our AC broke and they LIED and said we needed all this work done, we had a bad feeling so told them not to do it. We called a reputable local company the next day and it turns out it was a MINOR issue that cost about $150 to fix (NY Boiler said we need an entire new unit, yet our unit is 3 years old). The $125 or so house call also magically turned into $450 which we refused to pay(only gave them the $125 we agreed on)...what a joke!

Just STAY AWAY from this lying cheating awful company. They couldn't care less about helping you, just want to rip you off

I recently used NY Boiler and AC Repair to diagnose a leak. The technician Luis came late to check it out. He was very personable and knowledgeable about diagnosing my problem ($200). He did stay all day to rectify the problem. Snakes out the line ($175) and replaced the cast iron drain pipe for a PVC one ($1000). He did work tirelessly, but gouged me on the labor. I think they should discuss price and provide an estimate before just marching ahead without informing the customer. Customer service IS part of the business.

Needed a repair late at night and this company was available 24 hours. They came and brought the part the next day. It was defective and they fixed it for free. We had to wait a bit but the technicians were friendly and professional. Would recommend, especially if you have late night issues.

I called this company back in November to fix and clean my boiler. They didn't know what was wrong. I called an electrician who show which part need to be replaced. They came and supposedly replaced it. But the boiler broke down again in February. They came to my house and charge me $200 but the boiler wasn't fix. I had to call someone else to fix it. This company doesn't know anything about boiler.

New York Boiler And Repair company and its owner Luis Medina are bad business. This company and owner does not deserve a single star. Luis has no work ethics, worst costumer service he would show up when ever he like and always have a traffic excuse. When i called him first time he showed up 3 hours late. He couldn't figure out the boiler problem for four days. In extreme cold weather he left me out with no hot water for days and keep telling the sensor was bad and he has to pickup and come back and he will charge me $95 for service call, $100 for Part and $200 to install. i gave him ok to finish the job on the phone. After calling him many times a day he would never pick up his phone. Fifth day he showed up and says he fixed it and he left saying that his office will bill me. When i received the bill it was twice the amount it was originally quoted. When i emailed the office questioning the charges, within fifteen minutes Luis(owner) comes back and says ""i have to take a look at the boiler for something"" and he takes off sensor and relay of the boiler and walks out by telling""you won't have hot water until you pay my invoice"". Luis has a foul mouth with no work ethics. Bad customer service. Never gives written estimates. He cheats customers by giving price over the phone and bills twice the amount. Luis is thief, he has stolen the parts of my boiler. I wish i would have read the yelp review from Alan Z and Irene T.
