In 2005, Jody Riggs started Mojo Rooter, a family-owned business that had to close briefly because of cancer. Afterward, Alex Riggs gained a decade of experience at Roto Rooter and other plumbing firms before reopening in 2018. We rebranded as NW Sewer & Drain, providing same-day service and being available 24/7. And indeed, Jody is still with us and thriving today!

In 2005, I started in drain cleaning when my father opened the business, and I served as his helper. After two years, he was diagnosed with a rare lung cancer, resulting in a brief shutdown. He is still here and doing well today, but my passion for plumbing systems continued. I worked at Roto Rooter for eight years and then at other plumbing firms, expanding my understanding of plumbing systems and drainage.

Now, seventeen years later, I’ve spent half my life in this industry and can’t picture myself in any other profession. With all that hands-on experience in plumbing, drainage, excavation, and more, I’ve finally established my own business here at NW Sewer & Drain.
