Founded as Mojo Rooter in 2005 by Jody Riggs, our family business faced a brief closure due to cancer. Later, Alex Riggs accumulated ten years of experience at Roto Rooter and various plumbing companies before we reopened in 2018. Now known as NW Sewer & Drain, we are open 24/7 and offer same-day service. And yes, Jody is still around and in good health today!

My journey in drain cleaning started in 2005 when my father launched the company, and I began as his assistant. Two years later, he was diagnosed with a rare lung cancer, leading to a temporary closure. He is still around and healthy today, but my enthusiasm for plumbing systems never waned. I joined Roto Rooter, where I worked for eight years, and later gained experience at other plumbing companies, learning about plumbing systems and drainage.

Seventeen years later, I can say I’ve dedicated half my life to this field and can’t imagine doing anything else. All that practical experience in plumbing, drainage, excavation, and beyond has led me to create my own business at NW Sewer & Drain.
