Patrick M.NUTECH HVAC JETTING AND DRAIN SERVICES Hired them to completely replumb my entire house.
Just tell you want you want to hear and smile.
, like many subcontractors that work for the big warrantee companies, they work hard to get extra work. In this case they felt my pipes needed to be replaced.
They quoted me $10k to do the work, to which I said was a bit too steep for me. I asked if they had a military discount and they said yes, 20%. I said still too much, to which they said we finance it will be no problem. So I said lets do that!
They tried to finance me and to the surprise I was denied. So I decided it was still a good deal so I planned to rob my retirement account to pay it. I asked for the written estimate to which they sent one for $12,000 minus 20% for $10,000.
Seeing this ""Bait N Switch"" tactic, This is when I should have walked away.
I called them on the bait and switch and they agreed to take 20% off the original price of $10,000 and now we had $8,000 so I agreed and said how long, and they worked the time out with the tenant, and then I asked , since you don't repair drywall , I said how much drywall work will be needed post replacement, and they said they just cut small holes that are easy for a competent contractor to cover up and finish.
This turned out to be another lie
Then the issues kept piling up. Iniitally the quote was for all the runs to be home run so I could still tuen off individual lines if needed, but Danien came to me saying it woud require a lot more holes to be cut. So I decided in order to keep the post dryalll work to am minimum, id forgo that feature, but he assured me I would haver have any need to tuen off anything and it would all be trouble free!
This turned out to be another lie
Not arriving when they agreed to, running late, not completing the job when promised, was a significant issue.
I had to get my tents a hotel because they had the water turned off (a single mother with 5 children) they broke fixtures, then made an absolute mess (which they agreed to bring in a maid service to fix) . On top of ths they were supposed to replace any older fixtures charging me only the cost of the fixture. But they told me they were all fine, which was a lie, even a couple of days after completion, I had leaks in the fixtures. They claim I would not have to deal with any water supply issues for quite some time to come. They came t fix the first leak, but nothing there after. Since they reneged on doing fixtures, we made a compromise that they would replace the cartridges in the fixtures, and they would come make a list of cartridge models, I would purchase the cartridges and they install them, but they reniged oon that too. They installed an outside spicket tuenoff in a remote location but didn't identify its location when the drywall people came to close up the enormious number of holes they made (totaling at least $4000. Now I don't know where the valve is to get a access panel installed. Daniel, the team lead, said numerous times he would come cut out the hole If I purchased the access panel. Well I did so and he again reniged.
Very unprofessional. I have text messages here by they agree to take care of the issue. Now they want more money. I withheld $500 as they said they would pay for the one of the hotel stays, and replacement for items they broke (which exceed the $500). Ive come to find out, they tell you what you want to hear, and just ignore doing it.
express my disappointment and frustration with NUTECH HVAC JETTING AND DRAIN SERVICES the quest piping and re-piping of my house replacement back in February, as its now July and its still got problems and unfinished work, and I'm tired of Daniel (the team lead) saying he's got someone heading over right now. For the first item of two, he did send someone, but since then he just makes promises and then reigns. Then most recently stopped answering.
Currently the house has failed Prince William County Inspection and is due for reinspection tomorrow July 14th
Number 8 on the inspection is a water leak at the basement bath supply , something under warentee. As part of this failed inspection, of only one item remaining an extension was granted once. Daniel has said more then once (one response by text listed below)
I have since failed the reinspection, and they county has ceased making payments so there will likely be costs incurred I will expect NUTEK to cover. There are also other items Daniel has failed to do.
Anyway, I am asking First American to insure their subcontractor Nutech to do as they say they would do, and reconsider any follow on contracts in the future.

Avoid this Company at All Costs!
I experienced firsthand all the negative reviews I read about this company, and I'm convinced that a significant part of their business model is designed to scam customers through customer deductible fees on Home Warranty claims while pushing unnecessary, expensive services.
I filed a home warranty claim for a toilet that frequently clogs. The plumber who arrived did absolutely ZERO troubleshooting, simply stating that since the toilet wasn't clogged at that moment, there was no mechanical issue. Instead, he immediately recommended a complete Hydrojet drainage cleaning--a costly and extreme solution that I suspect this company profits from. Unsurprisingly, the Home Warranty company denied the claim, as Nutech didn't even attempt basic troubleshooting to determine if the issue could be resolved at the toilet level without resorting to an expensive full drainage cleaning. My choice was to simply lose my $45 deductible with no work done or pay almost a thousand out of pocket for the very expensive full drainage cleaning, that I'm not convinced is necessary.
Not only was I scammed out of the deductible with nothing to show for it, but they also wasted my time with multiple no-shows. They missed the first two appointments entirely and were two hours late to the third.
If your home warranty company assigns them to your claim, do yourself a favor: immediately request another contractor. I ended up wasting two weeks of my time and losing a $45 deductible with absolutely nothing resolved.
The main water line to our property burst and these guys responded quickly, diagnosed the problem, quoted an affordable price, and with permission swiftly executed the repair! I absolutely recommend giving them a call if you have any issues.

can't ouch their way out of a paper bag . Especially Mars . they lied to the warentee company .
Obtained a recommendation to replace a fixture in the kitchen. This was supposed to be fixed through a home warranty however I suspect the time involved to take apart the fixture and actually fix it was more time consuming than replacing it and the warranty company only pays for builder grade replacement ($90 dollar difference in price from quoted fixture). The quote for the work was over $600 and the markup on the part was over double the price of the fixture found at Lowe's. $1000 to fix a $129 kitchen fixture is really expensive to unhook the supply hoses, replace the fixture and secure a new fixture with hardware included with the new fixture and hook up the supply lines. I would not recommend this contractor as I feel they took advantage of a situation and immediately jumped to the work with us outside of the warranty.
