We talked with Jerry about replacing some frozen damages from when we had that hard freeze. This is a carwash. We had to close the carwash. Hw came on a Wednesday and talked with us. He told us he could do the work that day to get the business back up. His price for 3 copper fittings and 3 shut off valves. $1800.00. The owner sent him $800.00 for supplies. Here we are several weeks later and the work has not been done and no parts have been brought to us. He refuses to return the money and will not bring us the supplies he bought. We did this work ourselves and a lot more after that to get everything going. This is not a good business practice. I will never call him again or refer this company to anyone.

Originally I found Jerry Ferguson, #1 Veteran Plumber, on Next Door Neighbor. I used him to do a small job and was happy to use a Vet. Unfortunately I used him recently and what a nightmare. After spending many thousands of dollars to repair a leak and replace a water heater, I had to hire another plumber to fix all his mistakes. I spent another thousand dollars to undo his work. He could not figure out why I had no hot water after installing a brand new water heater. His incompetence cost me hundreds of dollars to replace a recirculating pump that burned out due to his negligence. In addition, he would say he'd be at my house at a certain time and then wouldn't show up. Save yourself a lot of money and heartache and hire a REAL plumber.

I have been using #1 Veteran Plumbing and Jerry for about 5 years now to keep up with my house and plumbing issues and have had nothing but great experiences. Since my house is older, I've had issues with toilets, washer dryer drainage, water heater, you name it He was referred by a friend of mine when I virtually needed 3 new toilets and water damage repair work done and came out within a day of calling to get me an estimate and scope out the job. He is very professional, explained all that was needed so I gave him the job. I had another plumber come earlier who quoted nearly 4 times the price Jerry did- not thinking I knew the costs of toilets or work required so happy to see his honesty and ability to get the job done. From there, I have an upstairs water heater that leaked, needed a new one, ( rusted out the bottom) and its in a tight closet - Jerry quickly saw other issues as well so redid the entire thing for what I would have thought was the cost of just a water heater. Mind you- I am RENTING and the management company I have is HORRIBLE and will not do anything for me so I have had to eat these costs to keep my home safe and dry. I had quick work done, most all jobs now have been within a day or so and completed in a day and all is working great. If in NE GA , Gwinnett or South Hall, highly recommend. I have deducted his costs from my final payment to this awful mgt company who claims all my issues were caused by me and my son ( really?) - they install crappy builder grade crap and not cover me??? Thanks Jerry and team for a job well done.

I was very pleased with the service provided by Jerry. He promptly responded to my inquiry. Provided detailed information and gave options for how to correct the problem. In the end, I decided to replace the toilet. He was timely in his arrival with good communication re: the schedule. He showed and explained the work he did as he went along, pointing out specific issues along the way. He did good work for a fair price and cleaned up after himself. I feel confident in recommending him and would use him in the future should I have a need.

Knowledgeable, punctual, honest, fair, professional, and a veteran. What more can you ask for in a contractor? As with the other contractors, Jerry responded promptly to my request for a quote. The major difference was that Jerry asked for more information. We spoke for more than 10 minutes while I shared pictures and checked equipment to help him identify the problem. Jerry came out that evening (on time) to verify his assessment and provided a no fee quote. He arrived promptly on repair day and successfully replaced a PRV that was deep behind dry wall with a small 8""""x5"""" pipe cover. Jerry cleaned up after himself and called in a couple of days to confirm that I was satisfied with the repair. Look no further for a reliable and professional plumber.
