Initially, I was charged an excessive fee to replace the fill valve in my toilet. I called #1 Plumbing to complain and Richard, a very nice fellow, lowered the price to a satisfactory amount. They listened and did good! That says a lot about them. The work was super, so all is well.

I decided to try #1 Plumbing after a couple incidents in which the plumbing contractor I had worked with for many years gave me extremely high repair estimates. Owing to a cancellation, #1 Plumbing was able to send Moses out within hours of my call, even though my issue was not an emergency. Moses looked at the situation with my faulty faucet, ran a few quick tests to confirm his initial analysis, and gave me an estimate to replace the faucet. In the process Moses debunked a theory I related about why the faucet had failed (which had been told to me by my old plumber, probably to justify a more costly repair) and suggested a different probable cause. In the end I decided I could do the replacement on my own, which took me less than an hour to accomplish, saving me a considerable amount of money. The money I paid #1 Plumbing for the short service call was well worth it. I would happily call #1 Plumbing again for other MEP needs.

This time around, tech Ivan N came to save the day. It wasn't rocket science, really, I'd done the furnace conversion just fine but my house really wasn't staying warm, and I wasn't sure if I'd missed something. The guy who originally answered the phone, BTW, was good about asking me some critical questions before he set up the appointment -- that matters, it makes clients feel more secure they're diagnosing the problem beforehand, rather than just sending someone out because they'll get paid regardless.

Anyway, Ivan N. He called because he could arrive earlier than our scheduled appointment, but I wasn't able to get home early, so he waited for my text, and arrived immediately after. He was good with my anxious dog, checked everything over and then ran a gas leak and carbon monoxide test, verdict: no worries. Ultimately Ivan simply explained that the advice I'd received from a previous contractor was simply wrong, that I should be buying disposable filters, rather than trying to clean out the reusable thing that came with the (ancient) furnace.

Essentially, two hours later I'd bought the filters and the house was back to a comfortable temperature, the furnace was turning on far less frequently, I had peace of mind about the air itself, it was well worth the money and time. Thanks guys!

I can't really say enough about Ivan and this company. I have been through a nightmare of multiple companies coming out to 34 times each replacing the board on my furnace the gas valve on my furnace etc. etc. Both other companies tried to sell me an entire new furnace for $3000 and more. I decided to make one last call after seeing the great reviews for this company and they absolutely live up to all of them. They were here in an hour to help me. Ivan was able to diagnose and fix the furnace before I could even blink. Then he got my gas fireplace going again! The entire visit was $150. I couldn't be happier, or recommend Ivan higher. I addition to being prompt, professional, knowledgeable and efficient, Ivan is also just a great human being. Six out of five stars.

Number One is my go-to. The main office scheduling is always so responsive. The technicians always show up on time, let us know when they are on their way, and fix the issue. Over the years, all the Number One reps I've worked with are friendly. In one case, the issue came back and they sent another rep out to fix it. They're not cheap, but you get quality service, unlike some other places where you get rookies who are just calling back to the main office to get tips on every step of the process.

I have AHS American Hime Shield and unfortunately this business is one they've contracted with. Moreno employees came out, found the problem and stated they needed to order the part and to give them 48 hours. We did. No word. No update. Week goes by still no update. I call tbis business asking if my parts were ordered as the weather is getting cold, got kids who are sick. The girl states no that my parts have not been ordered. I call AHS they call Moreno while I'm still on the line and that girl/front desk lies outright and states my parts were ordered. Unbelievable. I call moreno right after and ask why she lied? She states she didn't say that and I then let her know I was on the line..she gets nervous & rude saying it was a misunderstanding..O.K.. so are my parts ordered or not? Nothing still. Still waiting. She lied in order to not lose the business. Shame on you. I've requested from AHS that they NEVER send this business to my house in the future. Its going on two weeks still no update as requested.

Kurston showed up right on time to winterize our air conditioner. He made sure heater was working efficiently, carbon monoxide text as well. I appreciate the time he took to look at couple of other items in need of repair while here, answered all my questions. I've been calling on these guys for years and they never disappoint.
