I would highly recommend. We had a blocked septic line. They came and spend all day fixing problems with the old line and when they finished it was fixed properly and it is working great. Very fair pricing and very prompt service.

I called Nuckols Plumbing to ask how to increase my water pressure in my recently remodeled bathrooms. They told me that they would send someone over on Monday. At no time did they mention what their service fee would be and when they arrived the plumber Joey said there is nothing he could do and charged me $85 for 5 minutes. This is great example of someone misleading and clearly taking advantage of a customer. Nuckols is less than 5 miles from my house and this a complete rip off and this post is to warn people to think twice before you call them. I will not use them again and this is let the public know how they do business.

We have been a plumbing customer for some time and they are great. Jeff F. is top notch as are others. Today we tried their HVAC services which is fairly new to them and it was outstanding! We had not had our unit services in some time and Daniel did a complete walk through, cleaning, tuning and tweaking a few things. Lucy and Bill in customer service/scheduling are excellent as well. They are all very friendly, professional, answers all questions are efficient. I don't usually write reviews but they have earned our trust!

These people are HORRIBLE.

Contacted this company on January 20th to fix our drainage problem. Guy shows up, does his thing on only ONE Of the three bathrooms we mentioned having issues on, after an hour and thirty mins or so he leaves. But right before leaving I obviously paid the $552 bill.

Seven days later, every sink in the house starts bubbling, then while taking a shower (in the bathroom he ""worked"" on) I noticed that nothing is draining and the sink starts bubbling.

So, of course. Like any other person would... after paying for a service that you'd hope would work for longer than a week. I called back. First, they're closed, then.... On their text messages they mentioned being Nuckols Plumbing, then on another message they reply with ""this is the Draskovich law group"".... So THEN, they said. "" oh yeah this is the plumbing company, I'm sorry.""

Just to then have someone call and say. ""Well I can go out there but you'd have to pay again because they don't guarantee their work when it comes to draining"" Yeah, let me just spend 552 once a week to hangout with these guys in my bathroom.

Save yourself the headache and hire professionals.

You don't want a lawyer unclogging your drain, just like you wouldn't want a plumber representing you in court.

I live in California but I'm handling an estate in Virginia. I had a highly unusual problem and needed a plumber in Virginia to help. I called Nuckols and explained. I asked for an unorthodox service expecting them to shy away. THEY DIDN'T! In fact, they rolled up their sleeves, jumped right in, and solved my problem within a few hours of me calling the. I expected to be billed an unusual price for an unusual job and was shocked and how extremely fair the bill was. Amazing customer service, awesome response, great company!! Thank you guys!

Nicest man answered the phone, and we had a knowledgeable, friendly plumber here within 2-1/2 hours to unclog our kitchen sink drain using a 30-ft snake. Quick, reasonably priced, and done.

Everyone who wants to learn how GAS issues in the home are handled today, I have a story for you. So once my parents gas leak was detected, the city turned the gas off and LOCKED the gas meter. So, now we have no hot water nor can we operate either of our heating systems in the house.

So, for all the bootleg repair companies (Capitol Heating who never detected the gas leak after 6-7 times working on the one Carrier heating unit they installed in our home), you can not just go outside and turn the gas back on. There is a process now and that process includes a repair company approving their repairs before the city will come out to turn the gas back on. Nope, the techs can not just go outside fiddle with the gas meter and possibly have a customer blow themselves up and the neighborhood later.

So, when I asked Capitol Heating and Cooling to leave our home because of poor service, our neighbor suggested calling Nuckols Plumbing and Gas (804-214-2077) to check our gas lines for leaks. I called and spoke with Melanie who spoke on the phone like a customer would expect a receptionist/csr should and we scheduled the service. She was soooo pleasant and informative over 2 days. I, not my dad, received text messages about the techs scheduled visit, the owners scheduled visit and a text that told me the city was heading our way. Unbelievable level of service. A tech showed up on time at 8am the next day, spoke with me and my dad, he ran the leak test with THEIR EQUIPMENT without needing the gas turned on like Capitol techs had asked my dad to call the city (I did call the city later to understand the process) and request the city to turn the gas back on. (great customer service huh? asking my dad to do it.) Nuckols tech finished his part of the job, Chris Nuckols the owner called me and explained the issues and the cost, we agreed and the repair was made. Here is the kicker, unlike the Capitol techs,

Chris, the owner of Nuckols Plumbing, says to me, ""once we complete the repairs, I will call the city, let them know what repairs were made and request that the gas to be turned back on."" At 5pm, a city work and Chris showed up at our home and completed the process. Gas was turned on and Chrise relit one of our heating unit and the hot water heater. Again, my 87 yr old parents were completely satisfied with Nuckols Plumbing all in ONE DAY and did not have to deal with Capitol 6 to 7 times for the same issue again. So, you may say, what happened to the gas leak? Well, there were no gas leaks in our gas line so the only thing everyone could come up with is there is a gas leak within the heating system that Capitol installed and has been working on for about two to three weeks. prior. So, we had to completely disconnect that second heating system from the gas all together. Again, there has been no mention of a gas leak from Capitol techs who were in our home 6-7 times over a two to three week period where my 87 year old dad kept complaining about smelling gas. By the way, my 87 year old dad is a retired automotive technician for the city of RVA so he fully understands how things operate, what gas smells like but again, he has faith in what those companies that he has always relied on were telling him. No more. I loved what the neighbor Mary said, ""we may have only one time to get a gas leak corrected properly. It is not something you guess at."" Nuckols Plumbing and Gas.....I recommend them 100%.(edited)

Nuckols Plumbing & Gas installed a whole house water filtration & softening system in my house today. Shon Nuckols came to see where the system would go and prepared a quote for me. His technician came today to do the install. It was a big job but it definitely seems to have been a job well done! The technician and Shon both were professional, both were wearing masks and I can't say enough good things about this group! If you need work done that is within the services that they offer, choose them! You won't be sorry!!
