Hristos K.I needed a simple repair of changing the spout for my bathtub because the diverter had gone bad. I requested a quote from several plumbers. All responded fairly quick (within an hour) and I had given enough information and pictures so they all knew exactly what was needed.
I received quotes all the way up to 175/hour plus parts to 225 parts included.
Others even wanted to come by and charge me to look at the job to quote me (which they said the fee would be waived if I used them for the job after..but seriously?).
Mark responded to call him and leave him a voicemail explaining I had contacted him via a message and he would call me back. He called back within 10 minutes of me leaving the message and spoke to me on the phone. He thanked me for the detailed pictures and asked if I was handy at all as this was a very simple job and he didnt want me to pay a large sum for such a simple job. He said he would come if I still wanted him to but explained everything I would have to do and where to go get the parts. He even said if I get stuck I can call him to come over.
The part was cheap around 20 dollars and the work involved seems super simple (I watched some videos on youtube on how to do this). I havent fixed it yet as I am waiting for the part but i am confident now thanks to his information and knowing I can call him if I need him to come for the job.
Its hard to find good contractors for work such as this and I am keeping his number for any future jobs.
Mark was extremely accommodating in finding a time that worked for us and then recommending a solution for setting up a dehumidifier in our basement. He could have tried to ""upsell"" us on a more complicated, expensive solution, but he found an effective short-term solution that will likely meet our needs. Very honest and knowledgeable.
Catherine W.I am new to town and called Mark today due to a leaky kitchen faucet. Within a few hours, he came out and fixed it. He is very friendly and reasonable, and I will definitely be calling him in the future for plumbing issues. Thanks for the help on such short notice!
Andrew F.I called Mark after a bit of a botched DIY project due to some old plumbing. I'm decently handy, so he tried walking me through it over the phone. When it was clear that it was more than a simple job, he didn't hesitate to come out and take care of it. He was here for more than an hour well beyond working hours to make sure my wife and I were not going to be in a bad spot without water over a holiday. He was very reasonable with us, and didn't use the emergency call as an opportunity to gouge us, as many plumbers do. Without a doubt I will be using him for any future work we need.
Brandon K.I needed some extensive work done regarding a recent project with a new renovated kitchen and bathroom. Thankfully there are very few issues with my home in general, but the company I had used to do the majority of the work didn't completely do it right.
Since we didn't have a regular plumber, I figured I would just give Norwood Plumbing and Heating a call and see if they could come out as soon as possible. What had previously happened was that the last plumber who I called to make the transition from the old bathroom to new, to take out the old vanity. He had broken the pipe to the faucet, then kind of made a bee line out of the house........I did not feel too good about this. Luckily he didn't charge us and I didn't want him back, but he also left me with a broken pipe which I dreaded paying for, but knew it was inevitable!
Well, Mark Gordon and Norwood Plumbing and Heating to the rescue! I absolutely lucked out with not only an amazing plumber, but a great all-around guy. Mark was able to come over the next day (prompt service!). He showed up early and was very professional. He fixed the pipe, installed the vanity, and was very meticulous while doing so, in every manner. He always asked me if I was happy with the positioning of it, and got my faucet and pipe installed in no time. He was also very reasonable with the entire job.
Mark will be my ""go-to-guy"" from now on with any of our plumbing issues. It's great to have a reliable, honest company that I can count on in the future! I highly recommend this company. A job well done! 5 stars.
I would recommend Norwood Plumbing & Heating to anyone. I called Mark on short notice to uninstall a dishwasher and reinstall a new one in my kitchen. Mark got right back to me and was able to take the old dishwasher out of my house and install the new one with no issues and at a very fair price. He even fixed up some areas for no extra charge and took some time to show me areas of my kitchen I should be concerned about for future. I'm happy I've found a trustworthy plumber who knows his stuff!
L S.Had a water heater that was leaking and needed to be replaced. Called Norwood Plumbing & Heating and the owner Mark spoke to me and we made an appointment. Mark showed up on time and did a great job removing old water heater and installing new water heater. He was extremely professional and I was very satisfied with his work. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. LS
I found Norwood Plumbing & Heating on a google search and I couldn't be happier!
My kitchen sink cabinet was flooded and I didn't know what the problem was. Mark, the owner, said he'd be at my house at 4P and he was. After accessing, he said I needed a new faucet. I went out and bought the new faucet and the next day, Mark called and said he'd be back at 3:30P to install.
Mark is extremely knowledgeably, professional and his price was very reasonable. I couldn't recommend a better plumber.
I love my new kitchen faucet too :-)
Mark does an amazing job and he's an amazing person. I am beyond happy with the work he has done. If you need work done Mark is definitely the guy to call. You're the best, Mark! Thank you!
My wife booked Mark to come and unhook a gas dryer before a move to a new house. The move was the next day and this had to get done.
Three days before the move our phone line went dead and with three days left before we were having it disconnected anyway, there was no way to get it back up.
Mark said he would call to confirm the appointment.
I waited around for over an hour and then called Mark who said he was in Boston for the day and ""I can't help ya, pal"".
Now if you make an appointment with your doctor, dentist, or any professional, and a call to confirm the appointment can't reach you, do they cancel the appointment? Of course not. They keep the appointment.
Mark did not. He chose instead to take an all-day job in Boston rather than our $125 job to unhook our dryer, because he couldn't reach us despite the fact that my wife made this appointment (and expected it kept) almost two weeks in advance.
I am from a small rural town. One rule is certain: If you don't keep your word, if you don't keep your appointments, you don't keep your job. Period.
Mark yelled at me, nearly screaming at me ""Are you telling ME how to run my business?"" when I told him I expected him to keep his appointment.
Nice guy, Mark.
Never again.
