My father contacted NWP to fix a leaky toilet and they fixed it on 8/30. It needed a new float assembly. $78 seemed excessive even for dad's older style Elger toilet. Add $185 and $46 for labor and the total was $309. Okay, you've got biz expenses like insurance and all that, I get it. And you were here while I was in Dallas, so thanks for that. But when I arrived a week later on 9/6 and flushed it, it didn't turn off before the water level reached the overflow (which thankfully worked), so it ran and ran and ran. I called and asked for an adjustment. They said it worked when their guy left and the work had a warranty and they'd come fix it. I said Too late, I already fixed it (bent the float arm).

So, to me, the only right answer in this kind of mistake is, ""Wow, sorry to hear that, no idea how that could have happened, how can we make it right?"" And I'd have suggested give my dad SOME amount of refund. I don't even much care how much, $10, $20, just make an effort, you know? But no. No adjustment. Empower your receptionist to offer SOMEthing.

So, thumbs-up for a having a warranty, but thumbs-down for not fessing up to your mistake.

My water heater started leaking late in the afternoon on Thursday before the Labor Day weekend. I didn't think I'd be able to get someone to come to my house to even look at my water heater before Tuesday after the holiday.

However, Cindy came out Friday morning to look at the water heater and confirmed that it would need to be replaced; which I expected. Then Dave came out to drain the water heater so that it wouldn't continue to leak while I was out of town. I was so grateful! I am a first time homeowner and am not at all mechanically inclined. Mindy & Dave were responsive, knowledgeable and kind.

When I returned to town on Tuesday, the new water heater was delivered and installed as promised. John did an amazing job and was obviously a very hard worker.

I would highly recommend NW Plumbing for any of your plumbing needs.

Cheryl and I used Dave, Mindy and Stan to totally replumb our little home remodel. The work was done efficiently, timely and cost us less than we'd budgeted. Northwest Plumbing Services came as a recommendation from my contractor. We had David out on several occasions during the 8+ months of my renovation project which included a complete gutting of the kitchen, replacing the piping, and adding a dishwasher. He also came out and repaired my shower/faucet regulator on the bathtub (I was envisioning a lot of new plumbing, breaking into the existing wall - which meant breaking through the plexiglass tub surround) but David has been working on this equipment for years and knew what it took. All great work.

Why not 5 stars? I got the initial bill right away and paid that but I never received a bill for the follow up services. My contractor got an email that said there was a balance owing. I contacted them right away (got voice mail) and asked for the mailing address. Is this a small company? Yes. Is David a good plumber? Yes. Would I use him again? Yes. There's no one else in Columbia County I would call. Was the pricing fair? Yes. Has the work held up/passed inspections? Yes.
