I have known Shawn (the owner/plumber) for years. He has worked in with a couple of restaurants that I manage and can normally get to them within two days. We communicate easily via text. No fuss.

He also just worked on my home where I needed a new hose for toilet that another plumbing company (two others never responded) was going to charge at least $300 to fix tomorrow. His cost? $75

Northwest Plumbing and Backflow is the best plumber in Portland, hands down!

Shawn is great. I've only called once for the backflow check the city requires. But, he's been easy to deal with. Professional. Clean vans. On time. He, himself, is presentable and professional. Told me exactly what he was going to do and did everything as expected...which classifies as above and beyond these days. He called back as an annual reminder on the backflow and I had him come out again. Shawn made it easy on me.

Owned and operated by Shawn Petersen. I got his name off of the list of plumber/contractors approved by the state of Oregon for inspecting and certifying water backflow prevention devices. He is an easy guy to talk to, seems knowledgeable about the subject, knows the requirements and has the proper contacts, responds quickly to voice messages, and makes the effort to come out as quickly as possible. In short, he is far better at the customer-service side of things than most independent plumbers and contractors, which made me feel far more comfortable in dealing with him.
