Within a hour of posting a service request online, Jamie was at my house to look at my non-functioning furnace. Upon diagnosis, he had to drive to Rock Island to get a necessary part. Within two hours the furnace was up and running. Unfortunately, the carbon monoxide levels on my 27 year old furnace were too high. I am able to get a service call tomorrow for a replacement. Not the best of news, but I'm glad I'll have heat since the nighttime temps are going to be below freezing the next couple of days. Response to my call was quick and the price for the initial call out is reasonable and well worth having a functioning furnace again!

Call someone else! Northwest employs shady billing practices and will not give you an itemized bill of the work done. The response received when asked for a detail of the work done was ""we don't do that"" and now I know why. I called Northwest as I thought them to be a reputable company, boy was I wrong. I recently had new countertops installed and needed my new sink hooked up, new garbage disposal hooked up, and the island vent pipe reduced. The initial estimate came in at $1,250 with a quote of it being a 4-6 hour job. I was shocked by the high estimate to say the least but thought that this well known company wouldn't be grossly overcharging me so i agreed to the work against my better judgement, that's on me for agreeing instead of sending them packing. I guess that's why they charge for an estimate if you don't have them perform the work. Northwest's plumber spent almost as much time driving to get parts as actually working as the job only took 3 working hours to complete. We called Northwest after the job to discuss as my friend had almost the exact same work done a week later (no vent pipe but had two sinks) by another QC company and paid $480 for a 3 hour job and was provided an hourly rate and itemized bill. The response we got from Northwest was honestly what we expected at this point which was ""we bill by the job, not the hour"" and ""you agreed to the work"".

Here is a breakdown of the times of the plumber ""worked"" verified by our security system:

initial estimate 8:17-9:25, 1 hour
left for parts 9:25-10:58, 1.5 hours
actual work 10:58-12:45, 1.75 hours
left for parts again 12:45-1:45 1 hour
actual work 1:45-2:57, 1.25 hours

Total work 3 hours
Total drive time 2.5 hours
cost $1,250

Utterly disappointed by this company and will never use nor recommend anyone use again. Shame on you Northwest.

Brennan came to our property today and did an amazing job. We had been freezing for weeks and in 1 hrs time Brennan had us warm and cozy. This young man deserves a raise and some verbal positive acknowledgment for his service.

When we moved into our new house in 2020 our gas valve for stove was not working. They've were out same day and fixed it for us. Last year our furnace broke in the middle of a very cold winter and they were super fast about getting us scheduled and updated our 27 year old furnace. Would recommend to anyone!

I spent $523.23 to have them unclog my drain. two days later it over flowed again and they refused to come out and do it again. Not until they could run a camera through the pipes at a later date. I had to call TMI to do it. they did it right and ran a camera and here is a helpful item they guaranteed there work.... I have never been so mad at a company in my life. It says a lot about the company to do this during the holiday season. Don't call them unless you want to waste your money.

Dallas responded to and after hours air conditioning repair. He was polite, positive and pleasant. Although the issue couldn't be fixed that evening, he found the part early the next day and we were quickly back to normal. He represents the company well and made us feel the the customer's needs are a high priority. Thanks again.

Hot water heater was leaking all over the basement. Called them during a weekday. They came right away to replace it. They charged $1700 after tax for a standard 50 gallon hot water heater plus install almost 3 times as expensive as everywhere else I had called only difference is they came right over which I appreciated but it wasn't worth the extra cost.

Would be one star but I liked the Tech.
