Wow! I couldn't be more satisfied. As Melanie W. wrote, Ivan was great and Northstar will be my go-to company for heating and AC from this point forward. I got home from work yesterday evening to a hot house and my compressor making an odd noise. First thing this morning, I jumped on Yelp to find a highly rated HVAC company who could come out today. The first four places I called couldn't come out until next week, but Northstar was able to fit me in this afternoon. I'm so happy for that twist of fate. Their overall customer service was fantastic. The person who answered my call and made the appointment was super-courteous, and she called later to update me on the status of my appointment and again when the technician was on his way. Ivan showed up about 10 minutes afterwards. He couldn't have been nicer or more professional. His coveralls were spotless and he put slip-on coverings over his shoes every time he entered the house. He diagnosed my problem in just a few minutes, thoroughly explained what the issue was, and even gave me a couple of tips on caring for my compressor. He fixed the problem quickly and the price was more than fair. Ivan was an excellent ambassador for Northstar, my AC is pumping nothing but cool air, and I will definitely be using their services again.

After this review a manager reached out to us. He said he wanted to make it right and would install a new furnace ""at cost"". However, the pricing they gave me was still more than another company (with normal labor etc.) who we had not given any business to. While they were very nice and tried to fix our issues, I wouldn't recommend based on pricing alone.

Ivan was great. They were the only company I could get to come out the same week. He fixed the problem in a very short time. I'm very pleased. I will call them in the future if I need any other work done.

Northstar was incredible! Communication on a Sunday was amazing and the team was fast and reliable. My a/c went out on Sunday morning and I was up and running by Sunday afternoon. We paid a Sunday ""emergency"" charge of $175, but honestly I'll pay it again because they were so amazing! Highly recommend.

We have used North Star since we moved into our house 3 years ago and they made our sad, formerly neglected AC unit work amazing to survive the hot summer. The bi-annual visits are so perfect to go into summer and winter knowing the unit is functioning at its highest efficiency to keep our monthly costs down. Rick was wonderful, very informative, friendly, and professional. He took the time to help me understand the best way to heat a room in my house that gets super hot in the summer. I recommend Rick and the company highly.

Jeff was friendly, thorough, and professional. We purchased an HVAC system from them four years ago, as well as the semi-annual inspection to make sure the air conditioner is ready to go for the summer and the heater is ready to go for the winter. Our HVAC is holding up well, and they keep it in excellent shape. Great company.
