We had a slow Waterworks bathroom faucet, about 25 years old. Northfield Plumbing came to the house, replace shut off valves broken by another plumber, pulled the sink off the wall, repaired the faucet and reinstalled everything. They were efficient and competitively priced. Knowledgeable and easy to work with.

I hired Northfield Plumbing, Inc. to re-connect my sink (2 Drains) and my cook top gas line after I had my countertops replaced. When the plumber was here I told him that I smelled gas and he told me there was a leak, but that he fixed it. I told him I thought I still smelled it, but he assured me that it was in my mind. After about two weeks of smelling slight odors of gas, I opened the cabinet where the line is and was inundated with a wave of gas. I contacted Nicor and they sent a tech out. The tech found a leak and immediately turned off the gas and told me it would be illegal to turn it back on until the leak was fixed by replacing a fitting that was wrong. The tech told me that this was a very dangerous situation and that the fitting they used was the wrong one and it had to be replaced with the correct one. I called Northfield Plumbing several times to apprise them of what happened but, as usual, I got no response. As I had the cell phone number for the plumber who was here, I called him and he came to repair the leak by replacing the incorrect fitting. I received a bill for this service and I called the company to discuss the fact that I did not believe I should have to pay for something that they did incorrectly and which endangered me and my family. I could never get anyone with the company to return my calls, they never answer the phone when you call, and after I left several voice mails saying that I did not think that I should pay for their mistake, I did not receive any more bills so I let it go. Last week I received a copy of the original invoice with demand to pay. I called to discuss the situation with the company, again not able to get anyone to call me back. I am paying the invoice so as not to have a lien put against my house.

I had an issue with my kitchen sink that was over ten years in the making. I had Northfield out to clear the drain which they did at a steep price. Six months later the problem is back. This is not satisfactory work.

Had some problems with a plumber tracking in dirt, and leaving me with a leak and a defective faucet handle that keeps spinning around and coming loose. They came back twice to fix the problems, removing their shoes and fixing the leak but the faucet continues to spin. After I paid over $250.00, they want to charge me even more money to return, claiming they didn't supply the faucet and their return was a""one-time courtesy call."" They NEVER gave me the option to have them supply the faucet not did they explain they would not back up their work if I supplied the part which is what they are now claiming.

just used these guys for the first time this week....they were great! fixed the problem in no time and charged us a very fair rate. hopefully will not need a plumber again, but if i do, im absolutely calling on these guys.

I love Northfield Plumbing! We moved to Evanston in June, Our new house had several plumbing issues. Our realtor recommended Northfield Plumbing. Tim repaired a toilet, which we then ultimately replaced and installed the new toilet, he cleared a massive and disgusting clog in our tub, and worked on our dishwasher, which we also had to replace. Each time he was here he was pleasant, courteous, clean & speedy.

7:15 this morning I called over and requested an appointment to clear a clog in our bathroom sink. Bob said he could be here in an hour! He arrived at 8:15, cleared the clog all the while listen to my 7 year old jibber jabber about math class, was great with our black lab who wanted to help and was still done in time for me to get my girls to school by 8:55.

Can't say enough good things about these guys. Hopefully you won't ever have plumbing issues but if you do these are the guys to call!
