Don L.Absolutely the worst! They don't have a technician that could find his ass. Much less a problem with HVAC! They installed our heat pump system and have not serviced it or fixed it and we are suffering from the heat!!!! Buy a bag of ice and forget you ever heard about these people.
Joy B.I'm embarrassed to have been taken by this bunch. Several years ago my house air conditioner went out in the summer. I contacted northern neck mechanical, and a repair man came, he said the unit was low on freon, and charged the unit with freon. He gave me a bill for $400.00. He left, and about an hour later the air conditioner went down again. I called norther neck mechanical again. It took them several days to respond, the same repair man came, he did not even look at the unit, but told me I needed a new furnace. Several thousand dollars. I paid half and eventually the funace was installed. However, the air conditioner still did not work. I contacted them again, and a different repair man came, and found a freon leak in the outside air conditioner coil. The problem all along. He repaired the leak. I called the owner of northern neck mechanical, I believe his name is Towns, and asked him to look into this matter. Of course I did not hear from him. I refused to pay them for the second half of the furnace installation, and Towns called me, yelling and screaming at me over the phone, and he started to call me names. He threatened to take me to court if I did'nt pay. I eventually paid them.
I filed a complaint against northern neck mechanical with the Virginia Consumer Protection Department, but they are more incompetent then then northern neck mechanical, and they did nothing.
So be warned about dealing with northern neck mechanical. I found that there is a number of professional, honest, competent repair services in the area.
