We were having issues with our A/C unit and this company was the first one that could be out over the 4th of July holiday. A young guy came out and looked it over and determined it just needed cleaned out from all the grass and debris. It started right up. It only worked for about 4 hours then quit again. Another guy came out a couple days later and determined two items needed replaced and it was going to cost over $2,000 and that we might need to look into replacing the A/C unit and/or the A/C unit and furnace. He stated someone would call us the next day to go over pricing and informed us it was 0% financing blah blah blah....I was not getting a good impression on this gentleman as he seemed more of like a sales rep instead of a technician. We ended up calling a family friend to come check it out before we shell out all this money. He noticed the refrigerant was overfilled and that is why it help shutting of d/t being over pressure. He released 3#s of refrigerant and blew out the coils better since there was still a lot of debris. It is working great now! Glad my husband and I did not buy into there scam! Stay away from these people!! They will not do you any good!

Most customers are home due to the pandemic working and teaching their children, so they do not always have the ability to answer their phone. A reputable company would give you a call ahead and still come out. A poor company like this one, tells you that if you do not call them back, they're not coming out and they mean it. The time I spent waiting for them I could have already had a reputable, customer friendly company service my unit.
This company was one of many that I contacted last year to give me an estimate on installing a new faucet in my second bathroom. I did not go with their estimate but of the three companies I contacted, once this company got my information I began to get junk mail, junk email and phone calls advertising their services and trying to sell me one of their service contracts. Unfortunately, I have not figured out a way to stop their junk mail, but I did opt out of their emails and blocked their number, so I no longer received unsolicited phone calls.
Fast forward to this year, I was looking to get a tune-up on my furnace for the season. I remembered using them last year, so I called to schedule an appointment. HUGE MISTAKE!! The day of the appointment I waited all day, and no one arrived. I called when it got late in the day and the girl I spoke with told me there was a note on my account saying I need to reschedule. When I asked her why, she claimed they called and when there was no answer, they left a message and I never called back. Like most people, I screen calls, so if I do not recognize the number I do not answer. I only received one message that day and it was one second long, so I know they are lying. When I relayed this info to the girl, she told me again they did leave a message. I was not in the mood to argue but that should have been a red flag. I rescheduled the appointment for the following week and again they were a no call, no show. This time I did not mind because I had an emergency, so I was pressed for time but unprofessional none the less. I rescheduled for a third time and again no one called or showed up. At that point I was heated and decided to look for a reputable company. The following day I did actually get a call and there was a message left stating ""they were ready to send someone out to me but before they do they need a call back to confirm someone was going to be home."" I was VERY heated at that point. I called the number back letting them know that they scheduled the appointment for the wrong day and I have already wasted two days waiting for someone to come out.
Mike and a new employee, Preston, who was working with Mike today to observe and learn by on the job training, completed a complete check of our residential air conditioning units as part of our contract with Northern Comfort systems for all our heating and cooling home services.
Both were very friendly, personable, polite, and on time.
Mike thoroughly reviewed with me what he would be inspecting prior to beginning and I approved as what he had on order is what we needed and expected
All inspection was gone professionally and thoroughly. Results were understandably explained and everything checked out fine. He also reviewed a possible option of installation of device to assist in helping my wife's dust allergies if her condition warrants it later.
I was very impressed and satisfied with the service done today by Mike and Preston and would highly recommend their service and Northern Comfort Systems for heating and air conditioning sales and service.
Stay away. This company is unethical at best. They have tried to take advantage of my wife on multiple occasions, upselling and charging ridiculous rates for things that were absolutely not needed. When our heat went out, their immediate response was to sell a $500 thermostat installation without even looking at the heater itself. Meanwhile, I was able to determine the real problem after 5 minutes of Google searching. (Spoiler alert: it wasn't the thermostat.)
They also refused to fulfill a service package we had already purchased, saying that we had to renew the package for another year before they would do any work. We still had one service left. Money lost, but maybe it's worth it to keep these clowns out of our home. I wish there were a ""0 stars"" option.
My A/C stopped working over Memorial Day weekend. I called on Tuesday and the technician was there by late Tuesday afternoon (most other places that I called said Friday at the earliest). Technician was competent, friendly, professional, and thorough. He did a very complete inspection of my system, determined I needed refrigerant, was very up-front about costs before doing any actual work, and performed the work efficiently. Cost was very reasonable and I was very pleased.
