Northcoast Plumbing
Company Overview
I began my plumbing career in 2004 and possess extensive knowledge in residential and commercial plumbing. I excel at diagnosing plumbing challenges and crafting cost-effective and long-lasting remedies, regardless of how big or small the task is. I handle everything from leaks and drips (water, drain, gas) to repiping, fixtures, and remodels.
In 2010, I earned my C-36 plumbing license and operated a successful plumbing business in the Bay Area. I moved to Humboldt in 2014 to become the RMO for a plumbing company that had been sold and needed a licensed operator. Seeing the operational methods and the original crew leave made me understand it was time to go back to my own business. I wanted to provide quality workmanship, fair pricing, and authentic customer service.
I started my plumbing journey with a 900-hour course in the Bay Area. Within a year, I joined the ""commercial team"" at my first company, a notable achievement for them. After working with several companies over the years, I recognized that the best way to offer quality service at a good price was to go into business for myself. I founded this company as a local alternative to the larger plumbing firms. I aim to assist my community and offer my clients a touch of the past.

Though they were unable to help my drain problem they responded very quickly and recommended BC Drain to solve our problems. They charged me nothing to diagnose my problem and make the recommendation. I will call them again for help when needed.

Northcoast Plumbing is the Best! Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.... Quality and Professionalism! Bart Lunn, the owner, answered the phone right away when I called and scheduled me within 2 weeks ( not an emergency call ). His cost is $249/hr, but when I told him what I needed: remove my old kitchen faucet which is leaking and replace it with a new one I bought at Home Depot online, and fix the ""flapper"" on my roommate's toilet, he said it would probably cost around $300 - $350 total to do both jobs; but that he needed to look at the sink and toilet in person. My roommate bought a new ""flapper"" from Ace. Bart advised him that the brand of toilet he has doesn't always work w/ universal flappers, so he may need to order direct from the manufacturer. And, yes, my roommate did try to fix the flapper himself, but it was installed incorrectly (by my roommate). Bart also let him know that the flushing device was bad as well. The kitchen faucet took 2x as long to do since he had to cut off the old fixture ( it wasn't installed properly ) so he ended spending 2 hours total, which should have cost $498. But since he hadn't realized he had to cut the faucet (adding extra time) when he 1st inspected the sink, he honored the $300 quote! He even gave me advice on my 2 outdoor pipes as to what size insulation I need. He is very nice, knows his stuff and had no problem with me asking him to wear shoe covers in my home. I will call on him again if needed and recommend him 1000%!!!!!

Northcoast Plumbing has done great work for me more than once. Bart is quick, honest and does a very quality job. I would highly recommend working with him.

I called Northcoast to set appt to fix a leak under our sink. Bart answered and said he would be out the same day. Communication with him was beyond excellent and when he arrived he was on time and ready to start the job. As it turned out we had a leak in a pipe behind the wall and as he worked took time to decuss everything he was doing. Bart has the personality to make you feel at ease which is a plus for any homeowner who may need plumbing services. Yes he fixed our problem and yes we will always call him for any plumbing needs we may have in the future. PLUS, he's a small business owner which we all should support! THANKS BART!!

We just moved and our toilet wasn't working. Reached out to Bart and he scheduled us within 30 minutes of me calling for the next day. He was very helpful, gave us suggestions on fixes, and did a fantastic job. We'll be calling him for all our plumbing needs moving forward and will be recommending him to friends and family :)

Wow a plumber that calls back, shows up on time and did a fabulous job. Winner! We had a leak in our shower and the faucet needed to be replaced. Definitely calling Bart for any other jobs we have!

Recently, my wife and needed a plumbing job done. We tried to reach our old plumbing company but they had evidently gone out of business. We turned to Yelp to find a small company with a reputation for prompt high quality work, better than average communication with customers and personalized service. Bart exceeded our expectations in all regards. I hope he continues to satisfy customers like us because we plan to be repeat customers so long as he's in business.

We are first-time customers of Bart, and definitely recommend him highly. He has excellent communication skills, he shows up when promised, and he diagnosed and completed the work in record time. We were very, very pleased and will call him first when we need plumbing services.

Although I didn't do business with them, I called them and the gentleman that answered the phone was amazing. Super nice and accommodating. I let him know what was going on and he said he could be there the same day.
I called them because the other plumbing device I had originally contracted had cancelled. However, after calling them I received a knock at my door. It was the other plumbing service. I called Northcoast Plumbing back and they were understanding. We shared a laugh and I told them that I would definitely use them in the future if I have issues. I felt like they deserved this review and I hope other people give this awesome business a chance!

Bart utilizes modern technology for his business which is awesome and helpful. He also gives free quotes for work quickly--which is very much appreciated in emergency plumbing situations! I'm not sure if he charges $150 or $200 per hour, but the job was done in less than a week and I appreciated Bart's kind phone etiquette. He is a credit to the trades industry and has top notch technology use, with texts to let you know he is on the way to your repair. I was quoted $150 for one hour of labor and $150 for parts over the phone. I asked if we could get the price any lower on parts, as I thought that would lower the bill. Bart said he would look around town at parts and let me know. He was able to find a replacement part for less than $100, and I was charged $300 total (so $200 for an hour of labor I assume) which was his original quote. Overall pleased with the outcome.
