We contacted Home Shield after noticing a water leak coming out from under a tub in our small bathroom. Home shield setup a service request with North Texas Plumbing Service in Keller, TX. The service technician did not show the day I took off an waited for him. My fiancé texted him and he had went to the wrong house and he did not call us, he did show up late the next day. He told us we had a slab leak and wanted us to contact out homeowners insurance company to see what insurance coverage levels we had. He finally gave us two quotes, one to dig under out house for $4500 and $9000 to tear out the bathtub and jackhammer through the slab. This was the day before Christmas eve. We had no water, for 30 days while we negotiated with him and Homeshield. He finally refused to come out again when Homeshield discovered he had told them that we had a leak in the attic plumbing. We do not have any plumbing in the attic. I finally called his boss Steven Collins and told him the situation and he told me he would call me back. He never called me back and the next day Justin ( the service tech) contacted Homeshield and told them that my plumbing leak was because of soil movement and that I had cracks all over my foundation. Both things are a lie. Now Homeshield will not cover any plumbing leaks in the future for our home, EVER. We asked Homeshield to send out a second plumber and SWAT the plumbing company refused to come out when I explained to them I had found another company to do the leak repair. Mid Cities Plumbling cam in and in 3 hours located the leak under the slab, isolated it, an ran a Pex line overhead. Cost was $1050. I should have received at least $1000 from Homeshield for the slab leak, so North Texas Plumbing Services cost me that much money that I could not get from Homeshield.

North Texas Plumbing Services will only fix a slab leak if you agree to a high price to tunnel or tear out and jackhammer your slab. They are scamming people, when they can have their slab leak fixed for much less and without placing your slab in jeopardy. I intend to bring suit in small claims court unless this is resolved. I have never heard or seen from Justin or Steven since. I cannot for the life of me understand why Steven Collins, the owner would believe Justin over a customer. I just wanted my slab leak fixed and I never discussed what we were going to do.

P.S. By the way, never allow anyone to tunnel under your home, jeopardizes your slabs integrity in the future, because the soil cannot be compacted back.
P.S.S. Stay away from this company. They will try to get you to let them fix plumbing issues for a lot more money than it takes to fix the problem. The will want to dig under your slab, that endangers your slab and will cost you $4500. I had PEX ran overhead by Mid Cities Plumbing in 4 hours work for $900
