Poor customer service. Some dude picked up and without any patience and failed to explain anything and simply hang up. What to charge me $425 dollars plus tax for handling. Total bullshit. He said this is what I charge for handling. Total scam. Company. No customer service whatsoever so ever.

I went into the store Saturday 01/27/2024, 10 mins before closing, willing to spend $1000 in materials & the sale guy at the front desk (complete asshole, very rude & had an attitude) told me he's closing and he's not staying here after 12PM. I rushed to reach there and this jackass told me to come back on Monday. He didn't even take a minute to hear what I had to say, he was too busy getting ready to leave. If this is how this company plans on continuing business, I can't see how they will last much longer.

They claim to be a neighborhood friendly family company.

They feel nothing about inconveniencing the home owners by their warehouse, they block driveways and streets while unloading on private property for 3 hours and ruining asphalt with their fork lifts. Absolutely no consideration to the community they work in!

When asked to move they become arrogant and rude!

I have no experience with fixing toilets. A friend of mine told me to try North Shore Plumbing Supply. I was hesitant but I went. When you first walk in there is a large counter. I started there and was very happy with the men who assisted me in getting the right parts. Then you walk into the office where you pay. It was overwhelming to say the least. When I reached the counter I was greeted by a woman who wouldn't even look at me and told me to give her a sec. I was appalled. Then this young woman appeared with a welcoming smile. She asked how I was and I felt compelled to talk to her about what I am going to attempt to do. We both laughed and she told me that I should get a plumber. I told her I didn't know any. She then took out her phone and wrote down a name and number. I thanked her and expressed how grateful I was for her warmth and compassion. When I left I realized that I did t get her name. I ran back in and asked one of the guys at the counter. Elizabeth you are a diamond in the rough.

I leave the big jobs to the experts but on the occasion I take on something myself, I always have a great experience here. The staff is friendly and I'm always lucky enough to get Bobby. He's knowledgeable and helpful, and super zen! Great place for your plumbing needs.

Been here a few times to look for stuff that Home Depot doesn't carry. They've usually been helpful, if not the most courteous.

Today, I walked in and greeted the man at the counter (big, obese guy). He stared straight past me. I greeted him another time. He continued to stare right through me.

Another staff member walks up beside him and politely asked if he could help. I began explaining my situation and showed him the parts I brought with me. Suddenly, the obese guy slammed his hand hard on the counter and screamed: ""I'm right here! Here! I got this!""

I was taken aback at first, but thought that I should just keep my mouth shut in case he suddenly refuses to serve me. I had been to multiple Home Depots with no luck. I decided that I had to take a little abuse in order to get what I wanted today.

He got the right part and barked another order for me to pay the cashier. This place is so funny and outdated. I had totally forgotten that the cashier was next door. The lady had to look up the part number in a drawer full of index cards!! And then she punched in the price on a large calculator to figure out the tax before hand writing a carbon copy receipt!! Lol.

With my part in hand, I wanted to say something snarky to the fat guy. But he wasn't there. Instead I said my goodbyes to the other staff members and thanked them for their service.

Overall, a decent, old fashioned place. Just hope you don't bump into the fat guy.

They have a great deal of stock on hand but a confusing system. Counterman (who know what they are doing) and a back office where you pay the bill. No price until you go in the back. I don't believe they charge their regular customers what they charge people off the street. As an example they charged me $73 for an item I could have gotten on-line for anywhere from $44-$52. No sane plumber would pay $30 more for standard plumbing item. Unfortunately for me it was an emergency.

I am renovating my bathroom shower stall and needed a shower head , shower body and trim. I made a phone call first and spoke with Tom. He was nice on the phone telling me that they have Kohler brand available. When I went there, the whole scenario turned around. Tom brought out the Kohler shower body and trim in a ziplock bag which looks fishy. He was insisting that I buy it together with a ""never heard"" shower head ""Aquastream"" brand. He keeps saying why am i looking for Kohler shower head which is expensive if the Aquastream brand shower head serves the same function.
Tom knew that I am not a contractor, so he insisted that I buy the item not in the original box, but in a ziplock bag previously returned by some unhappy customers, and yet he is charging me a full price. I am not that stupid. When Tom realizes that he cannot fool me, he became nasty.
Beware of this local plumbing store and Tom. They are a bunch of crooks.

Having lived in the neighborhood for 30 years, I am a dedicated customer of this place. They always offer good advice and tips to the home handyman. This is the type of invaluable help you cannot get at Home Depot. I hope this place is around for many more years to come.
