The water heater at my parents' house leaked all over the garage and needed to be replaced. Two days later, Brent was here to replace it. The unit that he brought was clearly superior (I mean, the old one died so the bar was pretty low for that), and surprisingly was made out of superior materials (sadly surprising because ""old"" people always talk about how ""they never make them like they used to"" about any appliance). The water heater plus labor was $1500, and he had to leave to go to the hardware store to get a tube since our configuration is bizarre and what he had on hand wasn't long enough. The important part to note about this is that he didn't charge for the tube, which admittedly doesn't cost very much but still; other reviewers here have complained about being overcharged and having to pay more for small parts etc. which baffles me given the quality of service we received. He also went over the permit info and what the city inspector would be looking for when he/she stops by (standard for water heater replacement). He was also friendly and indulged my curiosity while he worked (which isn't a requirement for good service but is always a plus). I don't have a whole lot of experience w/ his industry, but my family and I were all very happy w/ the job done and when I get my own house and have water heater issues, I won't feel the need to research out where to get service since I know of a great place already. My only complaint is that Oregon, Washington, and Canada are further north than Sacramento, and we're not really coastal, but that's just a complaint for the sake of complaining because I think it's funny and want a ""funny"" upvote.

TL;DR: Use North Pacific because it's great.

Honest, friendly, and professional! Brent promptly responded to my inquiry for an appointment and fit me in that week. He repaired our garbage disposal in (literally) a few minutes and he also showed me how to fix it myself if the same problem arose in the future. Since it was a quick repair he also kindly charged a discounted rate. I highly recommend North Pacific Plumbing to anyone seeking a friendly and professional plumbing repair service.

I asked for an estimate for a bunch of plumbing work that I needed done in my home. For replacing the hot water heater (labor only), they wanted $1750. Considering that it's about a 3-hour job, that's nearly $600 per hour. When I asked for an explanation, Brent said ""I don't have time"". He then said I could get it done for the price he quoted or go elsewhere. Needless to say, I've gone elsewhere. They may do a good job with they work, but their prices are ridiculous and their customer service is non-existent.

You can't do better than North Pacific Plumbing in Davis. They were incredibly thorough in diagnosing a clogged main sewer line and keeping me updated on everything that was happening each step of the way. It's clear that Preston takes his job seriously as he did an outstanding, clean job.

We recently had an air gap for our dishwasher repaired by North Pacific Plumbing. Everything about the experience was great. They responded quickly to my email and were able to get us an appointment within a few days. The plumber that did the repair was on time and got the job done quickly. We live out of town and visited my daughter in her rented house in Davis. Five college women managed to really clog the sewer pipes. I tried and failed to clear it with a hose, and based on yelp, I called Brent at North Pacific Plumbing. He returned my call within a half hour and was on the job as agreed the next morning (I called at 3 in the afternoon). The job was done very quickly. The cost was very good (I am a landlord and the bill was less than I expected). Brent was a very good communicator as well. This is my go to guy for as long as the daughter lives in Davis.
She hasn't been back yet, but Brent gave us a 20 day guarantee.

I selected North Pacific Plumbing based on their Yelp ratings and was not disappointed. Brent helped me pick out a point-of-use hot water heater and then installed after the unit arrived. He was prompt in his replies to my emails and was on time to both appointments.

Brent and Steven are great plumbers with good attitudes and expert skills. I have used Brent's company, North Pacific, for a few years now and wouldn't call anyone else. Usually I reach him and schedule appointments via email, which works well for me. The guys are pleasant and don't leave a mess after completing the job. Prices are competitive with others in their trade and their professionalism is unsurpassed. I would definitely recommend them for your plumbing needs.
