On July 27, 2023, we had hot water tank go out of commission.
We called 216 612 5176 and guy named Mike picked up.
Now, I work as Property Manager, managing $50,000.000 assets, and I deal with vendors all day every day, so I know standard vendor routine.
This guy Mike told me that we would have a tech show up next day between 2 pm and 6 pm. The automated system sent us a message on Thursday to confirm a visit; and one on Friday to confirm it again. First they scheduled Mike Crist to show up at 2 PM, and than Justin Lequay to show up at 2 PM instead of Mike.
Mike told us that although tech was scheduled at 2 PM, he would show up between 2 PM and 6 PM. It was not an issue, as jobs run longer, so we cancelled everything for the day and waited for these guys to show up.
What Mike did not explain is that I have to seat by the phone, because 3 confirmations within 12 hours is not enough, I had to seat and speak on the phone with tech, or they would not show up.
So, somebody called while I worked outside at 5 PM, and when I got back in my house, in 30 min, I saw a missed call from a stranger and this guy Mike.
I called back and although he personally dropped the ball and did not let me know (basically screwed my family over, as it is Friday, so now we are stuck till next week) we got ""it is your problem, my guys left for the day"" attitude.
It is correct, it is a problem for my family at this point, because his company created a bigger problem for us.
It is not my first experience, I know that in business communication is the key, but this is not the way you do business and treat people.
When Mike dropped the ball, he added 3 to 4 days to the problem, cost me a day off work and made things worse, not better.
His response ""well, we can come out next week"" was like a joke.
There are plenty of companies, who do not suck, and who in a sane mind would ask company that mistreated them the first time around to come out next week, if they did not give 2 cents and treated my family without any consideration to begin with?
Do not use this company, unless you want to be stuck in a predicament.
PS I just read a few reviews and they match our experience.
Do not use this company.
Where to start? I would not recommend this company to anybody. We were quoted something completely different than what the price came out to be. We were told we get some kind of discount we did not. We never even saw a breakdown of everything. There was things that happened that weren't even discussed with us. They flooded half of the basement. Tried to hide that from us. On top of that, they used MY towels to dry it up and took then had the audacity to take the towels with them. I could be wrong but we're pretty sure it was the owner. He hit my dog in her face pretty hard on her snout. That to me about sent me over the edge. I couldn't say anything or do anything because my kids were literally standing right there when this all occurred. My husband even restrained himself from doing some thing or saying something. A lot of our stuff is ruined from the water. We had to take out three huge area rugs, dog beds, a bunch of other musical equipment and computer stuff and some of my kids stuff. Ruined from them flooding half of the basement. The fact that they didn't even tell us that this happened and tried to hide it and clean it up before we noticed us beyond unprofessional. They could've stopped and told us we wouldn't have been happy but we would've stopped and helped mop it up and help pick things up before they got ruined. I have a whole box of vintage antique dolls that now are completely soaked with water that I was selling that I can no longer sell. We were quoted $2900. The total came out to $3700. Oh, and after their water accident happened with the hot water tank, the owner just left. He left Justin to clean up the entire mess. Now Justin deserves a raise and award a metal or something because that guy is Awesome. Nice hard worker. he is somebody that you would want to hire. The only thing he did wrong was take my towels. He took them. Who takes someone's towels?? Who does that??? Homeboy walked right by me with the very wet towels in his arms knowing darn well they were our towels. Strange though because he or both the guys put back a bunch of wet dirty towels on top of clean dry towels. ... The very pile where they found them.... Strange. Anyways. Nope to the nope would I recommend this company to you guessed it... nobody. Justin of you read quit now while you can. Run. Go work for a better company. Please!! They do not deserve you! You are a hard worker working for a crap company. when they first came out, they messed with the toilet. Whatever they messed with on the toilet that toilet leaked for a day or two all over the bathroom floor so big shocker the cabinet bathroom sink thing whatever is completely trashed on the bottom and we have to take that out and replace it.
I highly recommend North Ohio Sewer & Drain. I have a rental property on the north east side of Cleveland which was slow in draining and backing up into the tub. Mike was quick to schedule me and Tim came to the rescue quickly. Tim explained how some liquid commercial clog removers further erode my old galvanized pipe which were likely rusting on the inside and needed to be replaced with PVC. A month or so later a leak sprang from a different pipe which was ""fixed"" by another person about a year ago. Justin came this time, and again, everything was fixed without a hitch. Besides doing an amazing job in a timely manner. They are very profession and explain everything. Also they are fair in their pricing. I will not hesitate to recommend them to others.
Were having issues with drain flies in our basement drain and needed to have this matter resolved. Justin came out and ran a video camera down the drain and were told that the drainpipe was cracked and would need to be replaced. Since the cost would be several thousand to have this done we decided to get two more quotes. Did get two more quotes from plumbers after their reading reviews. Decided to go with another plumber due to the cost factor as we our senior citizens on a fixed income. My husband called Justin today to let him know of our decision as a common curtsey since Justin had called previously to follow up. When my husband told him of our decision he hung up on him. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL.
Claire G.I cannot recommend North Ohio Sewer & Drain enough! After having various leak, pressure and hot water issues at my house, I was in search of someone to help. North Ohio Sewer & Drain really took the time to investigate what what going on before offering advice on how to fix it. Mike and his crew were so incredibly thoughtful and helpful. They went the extra mile to answer all of my questions and did an amazing job with the repairs and install of my new hot water tank. Especially in todays market, I was really impressed by how quickly they were able to get the job done. They even followed up after the fact to ensure everything was still going well. If you are in need of plumbing help, look no further!
Jennifer D.I am happy to recommend Mike and his company. They promptly replied to my request and scheduled an appointment when I needed it. All of my many questions were patiently answered. The service was efficient and fully explained. The cost was announced up-front and did not change, even after he tweaked another issue he found in an all-around check (without me asking) and fixed it. Plumbing issues are no fun-make it easier with this company.
