Questionable assessment and charges: first of all it took 3 months to have a new shower handle replaced. messages and phone calls left unanswered.
1st tech tried to replace my shower handle; it didn't fit. Told me valve stem had to be replaced and my insurance (I have additional home insurance) does not cover the cost and I will have to pay them $500 out of pocket.
Almost 3 months later a 2nd tech wanted to come out and assess and bring some shower handles. Why start from what was initially done 3 months prior. He told me if I need new valve stem, again, it would $500 out of pocket I would have to pay them.
My insurance policy does cover valves and when I called the insurance they said in No circumstances should they discuss money with me. The tech was adamant that my insurance company would not cover. said he's been working with them for years. My policy clearly states it was covered.
Final result: a new shower handle was put on. I question this company? Why 3 months later (many many times trying to call them) were they able to put a new handle on? Why not the first time? We're they charging for every visit? Additionally, if they wrongfully replaced valve, they would have left me with a complete shower wall to redo.
My advice: do your due diligence before having any work be done by this company and be sure to have patience in getting ahold of them by phone. It took me from Aug 2nd to Oct 11th to have completed. mostly because company never answered phone or returned my messages.

North gate plumbing was sent out by home warranty company. Max did an amazing job fixing my toilet issue. He was super nice and explained what he did.

Fraud and misconduct alert!
Would give 0 rating if I could!
I was assigned these whackos from AHS ( home warranty company) and north gate LIED about fixing my water heater and closed out the request!
I called AHS today to get an update on the service and told them the issue wasn't fixed. Then the North gate plumber shows up and asks if I have the part. Why would I have the part? Long story short - he never ordered the part and the kicker - When I got ahs on the line while he was there, he refused to talk to them and just LEFT! Said he doesn't work for them!! Meanwhile I have the AHS rep on the phone screeching that he can't do that and has to talk to them!
I'm absolutely gobsmacked! I haven't had hot water in 10 days thanks to these ""professionals"".
Their receptionist is just downright rude too. So basically whack jobs from start to finish.
I have never dealt with dishonest folks like this. It's shameful that they are still in service.
Other folks in my neighborhood have had similar experiences through being assigned north gate as part of home warranty services. Ugh. Beware of these guys!

It's too bad they have poor reviews because I had a very positive experience, specifically with Ken the technician. I also booked an appointment through a home warranty so I was weary of the service but Ken definitely delivered in professionalism and the work he did. Without even asking, he wore shoe covers coming in the house to fix a leak in the pipe under the primary bath sink. He was friendly, honest and solved the issue in less than a couple hours. I wouldn't hesitate to have him come back. When I called to make the appointment, they were prompt in being able to schedule around my availability and even flexible when I needed to switch times. Ken was early to the appointment and early to finish! I recommend!

I booked repairs through AHS. They arrived early into the appointment window and quickly assessed the issues. They repaired our shower faucet's old cartridge. It's so smooth and works perfectly now. And then also replaced our garbage disposal. They were courteous and went above and beyond!

If I could give them
a zero I would. They are incompetent, rude and literally know nothing when it comes to basic plumbing. I had to educate them on what to do or not do.

This company bills for work they didn't even do. I too have a warranty company that sent North Gate out. He took pictures, didn't even turn on the water to see where the leak was. Then billed the warranty company for a return visit and for supposedly doing some repairs. They never even contacted me once they came out the first time and only took pictures. Very unethical and dishonest. I am contacting the licensing department for the state of CA to make a formal complaint. STOP RIPPING PEOPLE OFF NORTH GATE

Another issue with this company and AHS. Was assigned them to clear a clog in plumbing. Both the company scheduler and the plumber they sent were very rude. Once he arrived, he informed my daughter he could not clear the blockage because the home had no clean out. I could have informed everyone of this as the house was built in 1933 and had no clean out. He stormed out leaving my daughter high and dry-very rude!! Any good plumber would have removed the toilet and cleared the clog. Called AHS for a refund in my service fee of $100 as no work was done and I had to pay out of pocket for another plumber to do the work-which was done. They denied my request as they said my problem was diagnosed- the problem being that I had no clean out. Exactly what am I paying AHS for??? Don't use either company if you actually want any work to be done.

Very professional and thorough. Nick and partner came out and assessed the situation, then fixed my copper pipe all within the timeframe of 2 hours.

Same as previous people. I was assigned by AHS for plumbing needs in my house. Gonzalo did the first visit where he literally did nothing and said we need to seek approval from AHS (approval for what I am not sure). After 2 weeks of multiple calls and follow-ups, they submitted the report to AHS after AHS field officer contacted them. AHS approved the work and ""Ken"" arrived to our place this morning. I had 4 tasks in the work order out of which one of them was replacing the faucet, and Ken came without a new faucet. I called their office and the lady says we didn't order it yet. While on call with this lady, Ken said ""oh this is wasting my time"" and literally walked out of the house without doing a fix.
Don't let this company enter your house, even if it's AHS assigned. If they assign this company to you, request AHS to change it for you.
