A friend of mine asked for a sewer repair referral & that prompted me to write a review for work I had done last January. I had major issues with my main sewer line going out into the street with roots. After frequent toilet overflows & routing of the line, I finally decided to make the major repair. I was surprised by my initial estimate from a major, well advertised company - nearly $6,000. I received a recommendation to call North Coast from a local plumbing company that did not do sewer work. While a younger company I was satisfied with their experience. They did a terrific job! The cost was nearly half of my other estimate. The team was on time, cleaned up after digging up the area, pleasant & completely resolved the issue. I was impressed that the President of the company was with the team when they started the job & checked in during the work. The Village inspection was a breeze. I highly recommend North Coast & will use them again for any future sewer work.

After our flood control company during routing told us that our sewer lines collapsed, we called the Village of Skokie for advice. The first question we were asked was how does that outfit know its collapsed? The company wanted $450 to video the line. The village sent us a list of sewer contractors who do work in Skokie (did not include our flood control company) and after checking reviews and Yelp, we settled on North Coast Sewer. Next day Eric (owner) came out, did a video at no cost and said he doubted we had a collapsed line. He explained how the sewer system is structured, how proper courting is done, and recommended installing an outside cleanout access on the street side of our flood control system. He also explained the worse that could exist but doubted that was the case. He spend a lot of time with us, told us what costs would be involved and didn't charge for his visit even though he didn't know if we would use his service. As promised his crew showed up two weeks later after utilities had marked the area for digging. They installed the access line, properly routed, and and said there was no problem with the sewer line. The service was not cheap but done so professionally and honest that there is peace of mind. Everything was clean and neat and new top soil with seed was put in place where digging occurred. These guys are first-rate.

Our darling money pit of a house had a few sewer/pipe related issues (not a shock when it was built in the 50's and had never had any pipe work done). Eric came out to diagnose our issue (drain in basement was backing up) and offered us two solutions: one, to have our main pipe rodded out from the interior going OUT, or to have it rodded out from the exterior going IN. The first option was quite reasonable, and the second, while expensive, was way under what even our contractor estimated it would likely cost.

Ultimately we went the more expensive route - which proved to be the right choice. Eric csme out and used a camera to see that roots had completely overtaken our pipe - not uncommon here in Tree City, Winnetka. So the next day he sent his wife to collect our contract and pull permits from the City. The day after that they were hard at work digging up our yard but it was amazing to me just how careful and neatly they did the work, considering they had a mini-excavator in our front yard. The pipe broke in the process (again, this was not a surprise, it happens a lot) so they just fixed it. It was an all-day job but they were fantastic.

So we think our problems are over but we are still getting a back up in our basement. We place a call to Eric and he comes the next day, ready to fix it. It turns out it was a few different problems meshed together, but after clearing pipes downstairs and doing a MAJOR unclogging job upstairs, (this whole thing took about 3 hours), problems have been solved and HE DID NOT CHARGE US A DIME. That's right - he came back to fix it and didn't charge extra.

I will tell you this - it is hard to find quality work and integrity, and Eric and his crew are the real deal. Timely, polite, smart, hard-working. We are so grateful to him and his team, and we would not hesitate for one second to refer him to anyone else in the area (yes, Winnetkans, you live in a flood plain, so take Eric's number down, you will likely need it at some point!).

Really, I can't say enough good things and we are so happy with the quality of the work done - thanks, Eric!

I found North Coast Sewer highly recommended on Yelp and I cannot express how happy I am. Eric, the owner, came to my house and explained how the needed flood control system worked to solve my problems. His price was very reasonable and his crew were very knowledgable and friendly. If you need any type sewer work, look no further. Call Eric and your concerns are over!

Our old 19th century house is no match for Eric at North Coast Sewer. Even though our house tries to make things overly complex, he always has a good answer. When our tight staircase did not allow for the equipment to be brought upstairs...Eric was able to gather up a few extra hands to lift the equipment over the banister, solving the problem of a tight corner.

Eric and his colleagues answered the phone on a Sunday, gave me some suggestions of how to solve the problem too. But alas, it was too complex so he came out.

Great service and happy we had him for the second time.

We just moved to the area and into an old house. We've used North Coast Sewer and Drainage twice now--once to blow out the slow-moving drains upstairs, and once to figure out how to turn off the outside water.

Both appointments were easy to make, and both times Eric was able to help us out. The prices are reasonable. (In fact, Eric has gone above and beyond in that respect with us.) And Eric has also been really flexible. The first time he came out to fix our drains, he was writing up our bill (his tools already put away in his truck), and then I remembered that, oh yeah, I needed him to look at the leaky dishwasher, too. Instead of being irritated with me (as he had every right to be, let's face it), he went back out to his truck, got his tools, and fixed the leak then and there.

We are really happy with this company. They've been very professional, kind, and, most important, successful in solving our plumbing problems. When we have an issue, we know they will make it right.

If you want honest, professional plumbing then call these guys. Their residential service is by far the best I've seen. They are friendly, the quality of their work is excellent and their prices are good, too. I highly recommend them.

Great people to work with. I pretty much have nightmares about calling a plumber after my last encounter with one. But I have had enough with my clogged bathtub . Finally decided to call a plumber. North coast plumbing was a great choice. I started my search on yelp. This company showed up with some really high remarks and they delivered. The plumber showed up within the timeframe given. He was honest about our issue that it was minor clogged . He fixed it in less then 30 minutes. Not only did he charge us reasonably for his time and work. He also told me how I can fix this minor issue on my own in future so I don't have to pay for something this small and can happen very frequently . Absolutely recommend them to anyone .
