Chris C. moved to Solana Beach from Altadena in 1976 and immediately went to work for a landscape contractor in La Jolla.
He eventually worked his way to foreman while installing the irrigation systems for landscape installations.
In 1982, he earned an AA degree in Landscape Technology from Mira Costa College.
He received his California Landscape Contractor license in 1983 and pursued further education, achieving certifications as a Certified Backflow Tester in 1987, a Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor in 1991, a Pesticide Qualified Applicator in 1992, a Certified Cross Connection Control Specialist in 1995, and a Certified Irrigation Contractor in 1996.
He participates in ongoing education to uphold his certifications and stay updated on industry advancements.

When the cost to maintain an old poor quality backflow began to outweigh a new unit, Chris was very honest to recommend replacement.
