I called up they called me back. They told me what to do. I did it. I looked at a YouTube video. I cleaned it all out, blew it all out with the air put it back together It's working fine. It's a 2009 Their customer service was great and I'm very happy with the water heater. Thank you very much. Keep up the good work.

READ THE BETTER BUSINESS REVIEWS ON THIS COMPANY!!!!! Save your money! We spent a major amount of money re plumbing and bought an $$$$$ Noritz - less than three years and it's leaking and ruined the circuit board etc - so yea they are supposedly sending replacement parts and we get stuck paying over $600 for repairs! Their rap is it's leaking because the water has some calcium in it -- interesting as their installer WeCare plumbing indicated the halo5 filtration system would take care of scale - PIECE OF JUNK! Read all of the posts below - it appears there is a common theme - oh and we were also pitched on instant hot water - so not true - Btw they have two stars -- what l does that tell ya! RUN! Go on to the better business bureau and read the plethora of bad reviews! Edit - Noritz and I suspect because I filed a complaint with the BBB sent an ""in house plumber"" out to replace parts - heat exchanger, circuit board & burner chamber) well soon after the tank is flipping LEAKING! They come out again and their OWN IN HOUSE PLUMBER didn't reconnect the condensate line! This says it all - NO WORDS

My noritz unit kept error coding 12, I went through the whole rigmarole, called out plumbers, called noritz, talk to their tech reps, 2500$ later still error coding 12, they did send out replacement parts one by one and each time I had to call a plumber to come install said part. $$$ the plumbers spoke with the tech reps to give their professional assessments, noritz refused to replace my unit, the plumbers replaced the igniter, the circuit board and another big component. I will forever speak poorly of this company and never recommend their products again.

Stay away from this company. Myself and my neighbor purchased this brand for our tankless water heater replacement a few years back. Both units make a very loud noise that sounds almost like a train horn when the hot water turns on. I hear my neighbors unit from across the alley. The company representative tried to troubleshoot but couldn't find the problem. We need to pay a plumber to try to figure out or fix.

Terrible service. They don't answer the phones. Completel;y untrained staff with reps don't know their products or how to answer questions. Waste of time.
I'm going to buy a Rinnai because they actually answer the phones with knowledgeable staff

Zero stars if possible. Such a bad company. I have two tankless water heaters installed on either sides of my house and I live in Texas. I had to replace at least 3 water heater units in a span of 2 years due to freeze damage which costed me more than 10k dollars. The customer care is a joke. I have tankless heater NR-98OD and I showed them the spec sheet that the temperature didn't go below the manufacture recommended -4F. The lowest it went was 15F. The customer care rep. said that they would need to calculate wind chill along with the temperature drop and argues that it would have gone below -4F with the wind chill. They were just finding reasons to not take responsibility. This is the 3rd water heater I am losing and Noritz did nothing so far. The customer care is extremely rude.

Best customer service I have experienced in a very, very long time. A tech came on the line quickly and walked me through a complicated repair with ease. The techs are well-trained and excellent, the phone tree is easy to maneuver. All around a great experience, thank you.

Marco ran me through the different trouble shooting steps on my 10 yr old Noritz. He explained the steps very clearly and not once did he make me feel inferior in going through the steps with me. He was patient and gave me tech tips and reference documentation on how to access codes and what they meant. I will purchase another Noritz for their excellent tech support team.

DO NOT BUY NORITZ or a HOME with Noritz products installed. COMPANY DOES NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. We purchased a home recently and the LESS THAN 4 year old Noritz CB199-DV tankless water heater had heat exchange failure. This was leaking gas and carbon monoxide putting our family at risk on top of having the 3 way valve replaced numerous times. To my surprise and the HVAC Tankless professionals we were having help us, NORITZ does not honor their 10 year warranty for new home owners. Since we were not the actual buyer of the unit they would not honor their warranty. I have NEVER heard of home mechanical/HVAC products not transferring from home owner to home owner. The $500 cook top that we had installed in our previous home transferred the warranty to the new owner. This is a 3K product with a large installation price tag. UNREAL POOR COMPANY.

Best in its class tankless water heater and made with top of the line materials. Not to mention top notch customer service and technical support dept that is open 7 days a week!! And best of all an online parts ordering website so now parts can be purchased around the clock and not just at specific times through the day!! Anyone looking for a great product to install should definitely consider NORITZ as their heaters manufacturer!!
