So many things.
1. ""If we break something because it's old, it's on you, not us"" - And by US he means his worker who is not covered under his insurance. So that makes sense since you have an employee who is not covered by your worker's comp because you claim to be a 1 person business.
2. Charged almost double what was quoted, and the work was about 2.5 hours (only 1 worker), and they charged over their $400/4hr minimum...
3. When I asked why it was almost double, the owner had no answer, and said it's not that much more. Just shady. I did fight it a bit and paid $600 but STILL. I sat outside the whole time and told the worker and the owner, if I go over $400, let me know. And when I say 2.5 hours of work, it wasn't even the whole time, lots of down time going to get something from Lowes.
4. No receipt, nothing showing the work was done. I imagine there's a reason for this.

Looked at job said he would be back in a couple hours
Never came back
I called he relayed it was a bad leak and said I can't make it today and never called again
If your to busy tell your customers so they don't waste a day waiting on you
That is just bad businesses

I called Dan to get a 2nd opinion of a job done by a major Sacramento firm...one that has lot's of trucks running around with young ""technicians"" (not plumbers) eager to upsell products and services! I had a Water Heater issue that was NOT resolved by the prior Technician, and was even worse when he left! The young man created a short when he was testing the current to the heater, and didn't bother to check if any damage occurred to any other parts of the system. As it turned out, the fuses in the Disconnect Box fried, thus restricting current to the heater. We ended up with NO hot water when the original problem was a short supply of hot water! Dan showed up and was instantly able to identify the problem...a couple of fuses needed to be replaced. I ran up to Lowe's and spent $3, reinstalled them myself (1 minute job!), and bam!...hot water! For his effort, he did NOT charge me anything! Guess who I am going to call the next time I have ANY problems with my plumbing? Thank you, Dan!

Didn't even get as far as making an appointment . I had received a referral to Nor Cal Plumbing from another business in Orangevale. I called on a Monday requesting service on several items. Dan appeared completely uninterested and said he would call me early the following week to schedule an appointment. I didn't hear back from him until Friday afternoon of the following week...11 days later!!

Walked into my downstairs bathroom and found my ceiling about to collapse and bulging with water, so I called Nor Cal Plumbing. They responded immediately and showed up just in time to stop my plumbing leak from turning into a disaster. The leak was located and the problem solved temporarily until a necessary fitting could be ordered and the permanent fix was perfect plus timely. I can't say enough how thankful I was for Nor Cal answering my call, showing up and solving my plumbing nightmare quickly, professionally and for being reasonably priced. They've gained a loyal customer and lots of referrals.

Dan came to our rescue today! I had an emergency plumbing issue and although he was busy, he was able to come out to my house very shortly after I made the call. He easily pinpointed and fixed the problem, and provide insight regarding the reasoning it happened. It's clear that he has a lot of experience and I felt confident in his evaluation and workmanship. His quote was very fair and my husband and I are extremely relieved the problem is fixed and THANKFUL for Dan's quick response and professionalism throughout our ordeal. I called nor-call plumbing on a Saturday night at 5:00pm and Dan immediately came out to my house. The previous plumbing company wanted to tear into the bathroom shower to ""explore"" where the leak was from. Dan conducted additional tests and discovered the problem, saving me a lot of money. I will recommend Nor-cal Plumbing to everyone I know.
