Marta H.Day 4 on the emergency repair list. No heat. No repairman. No information on when someone is coming. I pay a yearly service contract so I don't have to worry.
Seems Field service team is understaffed.
Called on Sunday for No Heat. First time available
Tuesday, with 8am to 8pm window ? Only 15 min pre-call.
Come one, even the cable companies do better than this !
Then they don't have the part, told 2 - 5 days more to get the part ?
I hope their management can go 7+ days with no heat, see how they like it.
Kimberly M.When I try to call to cancel a contract I ""inherited"" and never used, it tells me to ""stop natural gas"". Definitely don't want to do that. Can you just cancel this stupid thing? Seeing how disastrous the response times are, is rather not have this ""service"".
Robyn S.I had a contract with them for 13 years. The first time I needed to use it was on July 3 and it was over 100° and I explained we had an elderly relative living with us. The soonest appointment they could give us was 10 days out and they tried to make us feel better by saying they put us on the emergency list. Needless to say I had to call somebody else to repair it. The emergency list finally came through about six days later. I canceled the contract obviously. When my air-conditioning needed help a few months later they told me that I could sign up for a contract but I couldn't use it for two weeks. And if I wanted a guarantee that they would come out within 24 hours the price of the contract was double. So my options were pay for a contract and they might be able to come within 10 days, or pay double the contract but not be able to use it for two weeks. Horrible.
Sharon A.Extremely poor service! I don't know how this company morally justifies themselves. They lead people on by having them think service contracts will cover them in emergencies. Our ac broke down during one of these hot summer days, and the temp in our house creeped up to 84. We were told the next available appointment isn't for 8 days. Are they serious? That is unacceptable. The customer service rep told us to lie and say we have an elderly person in the house so we could be put on the emergency list. How morally acceptable. We do have a temperature sensitive dog, who needs to be in ac during these hot summer days and an appointment 8 days out is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Instead we called a family owned, local company who were excellent and arrived within a few hours. Shame on this company for forcing us to spend money on a different company when we pay monthly for this one. And, you can't even cancel the contract unless your year is up! You will be stuck paying the remainder of the contract. From now on we will contact family owned, honest people to help us.
Can never get them to come on emergency!
You pay for service and have to wait a week for an emergency call and have to pay another company $250. To come figure out the problem.
Jo H.Until this year I would always give a five star review to this company. The problem now is that they are gravely understaffed. Customer service does not return calls when they are promised. I called in May for them to fulfill my service contract and as of June 21 I am still on a waiting list. This is very disappointing as they have been so good in the past. They continue to advertise that they need new customers perhaps they should take care of their existing customers first
Changing from a one star to a four star review after speaking with a manager at NJR. I was told the customer service rep made an error and should have given me the option of cancelling the contract since I have not used it since it was automatically renewed. I had the service for about 10 years was generally very satisfied with service and response times.
I spoke to one of the customer representatives at NJR, Nelson. I explained to him that I have an 81 year old mother, who is in need of immediate service.
I am happy to say that we will have a repairman there tomorrow! I can't thank him enough, he really went the extra mile for her and my family.
I would like to thank NJR Home Resources for responding to my issue and helping to resolve.
