Our old AC was on its way out and was talking to a friend about it and was reffered to Nick at NJL. He came out and gave me a good quote and and schedule an install day shortly after that. He was on time and did great job. The AC is quieter and colder than ever before. Not playing games.

Only hire them if you want them to make an appointment with you where you have to take the day off and they don't show up. Then he tells me it is for next Monday when i clearly told them i was off this Monday, not next. And then asks me to call and reschedule. Hello! I called the number of the company. Why aren't you rescheduling me? Seems to be a one man company.

Had an emergency, basement flooded while on vacation, NJL came right out to inspect. Discovered the pumps were wired incorrectly which is why they both failed at the same time causing flooding. Fixed everything. Very knowledgable, would definitely recommend.

Nick and Cole were extremely skilled, efficient, AND punctual! I had what seemed like a major problem - a mysterious water leak underneath my water heater and a non-functioning furnace. It looked like a huge, expensive problem. The NJL team identified the issue as a minor humidifier leak that had damaged my furnace. They fixed it quickly and inexpensively even going to get parts instead of having to schedule another appointment. I appreciated their honesty as they could have told me it was a major (and expensive) issue. My furnace is repaired and going strong. I would highly recommend NJL's superior expertise and service. In fact, I have scheduled their services again to upgrade my bathroom plumbing. 10 stars!

I bought a Groupon for NJL to tune up my hot water tank.

Well, unfortunately my hot water tank was beyond repair. It was cracked and leaking all over my basement. Nick, the owner/operator, came out, quoted me a fair price for a replacement, installed it quickly, applied the cost of the Groupon to the new tank install, was extremely friendly and communicative (especially considering I was out of the country and had to arrange all this by phone and with my housemates). Oh, and at no extra charge, he noticed the coolant in my AC unit was low and topped it off for me. :)

I recently had an issue with my air conditioning, it's finally warm in Chicago and it stops working! I called NJL Heating and Cooling and the owner Nick was able to provide me great reliable service. He was at my home within the hour and the quote was really reasonable. I was able to get it back up and running that day. Definitely would contact him again for any more issues come up.
