I would give more than 5 stars if that was allowed. This being Tahoe, getting a plumber to actually return your call, let alone SHOW UP, can be a huge challenge. Nixon's to the rescue! After astronomical heating bills, I finally bit the bullet and decided to use shelter-in-place time to replace both my heater AND my water heater. My house is a funky 1970s nightmare and Doug (the owner) came out himself to assess the job and give his recommendations. I had to relocate the water heater from under the house to a bedroom closet and I appreciated that Doug laid out the advantages and disadvantages of each option. When I accepted the bids for both the heater and water heater, they started on installation almost immediately. That was a huge surprise. But wait... that's not all. The technicians actually SHOWED UP ON TIME (virtually unheard of in Tahoe). Michael and Ed (and another guy -- sorry -- I didn't get his name) were professional, respectful, efficient, and unbelievably knowledgeable. They kept me apprised of progress and I got a thorough debriefing or ""tour"" of the projects when they were done. I really appreciated being treated like I have a brain. :) Lastly, hats off to WENDY. She was a delight to deal with on the phone and her email communications/billing procedures were clear. In summary -- KUDOS to Nixon's Plumbing. I will use you for as long as I live in Tahoe.

These guys are the best. Wendy is the nicest person you'll talk to. Highly recommend them.

I needed a plumber to come to my home... I called Nixon's plumbing and they showed up the same day! I was a lucky person!! And they went out of there way to make sure that the job was done properly and quickly!..
I could recommend them for anything plumbing that you need!..
I do not work for them, and I am not related to anyone who works for them.
They are my new go to plumbing service forever!..

I had a great experience today with Nixon's. I had an ongoing leak in my undergound water line and didn't really know what to do about it. The water company helped me to locate where the leak probably was so I set up an appointment with Nixon's to dig it up and repair. Sean (Shawn?) was at my house bright and early and started digging away until he reached the leak. Todd came out and repaired the actual problem with my water line several feet down. The owner, Doug, stopped by a couple of times to check on things and make sure it was going smoothly. The guys were polite and friendly and hard workers. They had it done by mid afternoon and my peace of mind is back in place. Kudos also to Wendy, in the office, who helped me with friendly, good advice and getting things scheduled for me. Everyone was professional, efficient and knew just what to do. Couldn't be happier with the outcome! I hope I don't need them again anytime soon but they will be my first call if I do have any plumbing issues in the future. Thanks to all 4 of you!

6/18/19 Eddie showed up early for my job, he told me how much each part cost before he installed it and did his work quickly and correctly. On top of all that, he's a nice guy. Great job Nixon's!

I have hired Nixon's twice to save the day. The first time was during one of our epic winter months when everyone was calling them - very busy.
Talking with Wendy is a relief. She is kind, understanding and accommodating. In fact, she managed so squeeze me in twice with same day service! Try getting that from the competitors such as Summit - good luck!
Nixon's seems like they are family operated and like they actually care. They see you more than just the next invoice. They see you as a relationship.
It gets better! The technician they sent out twice was equally as friendly, knowledgeable and hard working as Wendy.
Nixon's. Look no further. They defy the general mediocre work that you usually get here in Tahoe.

After buying a small house in the Tahoe basin, we wanted to get a tankless water heater. My realtor recommended Nixon's, and I am SO glad! Doug, the owner, and his wife, Wendy, were great, once we connected. Doug isn't an email guy, so it's definitely better to communicate via either phone or text (Wendy is GREAT with text contact!) After getting our estimate, I did some research, looking for a cheaper deal, but even Home Depot was within $20 of Doug's estimate. We scheduled our installation and everything went as planned. Michael and his crew were outstanding - timely, polite, and very professional. We had a slight glitch with our water connection to our washing machine, but Nixon's quickly made time to remedy the situation. I feel like I can completely depend on Doug, Wendy, Michael, and the entire crew at Nixon's. I highly recommend!

When a pipe burst in a rental unit I called them per the recommendation of my Real Estate agents. They were able to get out there quickly and told me they would communicate the issues to me (as I don't live in SLT) and I never heard back, I called several times the next day and I was finally told it had been fixed and they were out there for about an hour. (12/14)
My agents came to check on the place 2 days later and the pipe was still leaking. I called and their answering service picked up, and I was told that I would get a call back and no one responded. I finally heard back 12/17 and they went back out and actually fixed the pipe. The plumber who went out there stated that they wouldn't charge me the second time, since it took so long to get them back out and it should have been fixed the first time.
Fast forward to today 2/19. My property is still being worked on and I have a ton on my plate and I never forget to pay for services. I received a rude VM from Wendy stating that they were going to put me into collections because she had been emailing me the bill and I still hadn't paid. I felt bad! I looked in my email and found the bills in my spam.
I called her back and noticed that I had been charged for the second visit, as well as the first. I apologized and told her that the emails had gone to spam and suggested a call (prior to 2 months after a bill is due) instead of incessant emails. She didn't respond kindly to that. I also told her how the plumber told me that I would not be charged for the second visit and she again had an attitude with me, and was very disrespectful. I ended up only paying for the first invoice, but not after she had a complete attitude with me, and basically called me a liar. If I hadn't had that conversation with one of the plumbers on their end, I never would have stated that conversation happened. I do not appreciate being made to feel like a liar, and again, work on your customer service people, if you don't receive a response from an email, pick up a phone and check in and send a friendly reminder!!!!
Thanks for making this long arduous horrid situation with my property even worse, I will never use or recommend you due to your poor customer service!

The furnace in my South Lake Tahoe house died, and a big storm was predicted within the next week. The company came, and quickly replaced the dead furnace with a new, energy-efficient furnace. The house is now warm and I'm not worried about frozen pipes. The guys who did the work were polite, friendly, and fast. Thanks Nixon's!

Scheduling an appointment was a total headache. Once someone showed up they were friendly, professional, and informative. Top notch service from the field tech, however the office staff needs customer service training.
