I developed my work ethic as a ten-year-old assisting in my grandparents' restaurant on weekends, wiping down tables and helping customers with their requests. I did this until I was 16 years old. When I was 12, I became a newspaper delivery boy and continued for a few years. When I was 13 and 14, I took summer breaks to assist in my uncle's welding shop. During my early years, I was my father's helper in plumbing and soon after moved to Riverside for the opportunity to work as a plumber in new builds.

I first enrolled in a year-long course at Associated Tech College in San Bernardino, to understand plumbing codes, repairs, and system sizing. From there, I started with Inland Plumbing as an apprentice. Within a year, I was given a foreman position, where I installed gas systems, drainage, venting, and water services, overseeing three employees under my direction. I gained a lot of knowledge during those three years, and I consider my plumbing foundation started there.
