Nigel Mulgrew has been great to work with. They promptly came out a few weeks ago when we had a bathtub faucet leak. When I called for a quote/help they sent a plumber the same day. We were happy with our repair and professionalism of Francisco but upon taking some baths/showers noticed that our hot water just wasn't as hot as we needed. So I called again to share that and once again Nigel Mulgrew sent a plumber the same day to repair. No upcharges, no complaints by management, just great customer service. They sent Joe today who has also been very professional and courteous. It wasn't quite the quick fix we both thought it would be but Joe figure ms it out and we now have the hot water we wanted for our baths. Serious 5 star customer service by this company!! Thanks

I highly recommend Nigel Mulgrew Plumbing and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. We hired them to fix three leaking sinks which had been ""maintained"" by the previous owner of our home who opted for flimsy parts and band-aid solutions. The parts beneath the sinks were in disrepair and needed to be fully replaced. The men who completed the work were extremely friendly and totally respectful of our home. They spent time to educate us on the issues we were experiencing and why the repairs would keep us issue-free for the distant future. It was clear to me that their goal was to be preventative, not reactionary, which is comforting given the immense damage and cost that plumbing issues can cause. Give them a call if you value high quality work and peace of mind.

These guys were Life-savers!!!
Our tankless water heater started flashing an error code, and stopped heating up water. Although we've had it for about five years, we had never encountered this particular code, and couldn't reset the system. After googling many options and watching multiple YouTube videos, I still couldn't fix it.
After being out of hot water for a few days, I had no option but to call a professional. Unfortunately, I called the wrong one! They dispatched a ""technician"" who showed up late, and immediately charged me $69 just for showing up at our house. The individual looked at the exterior of the heater, took a couple pictures of the serial code and model, and then presented me with three options: $1000 to ""diagnose"" the problem + any potential replacement parts. Another option was spending a few thousand more for a complete ""service"" job, and $6800 to replace it. And remember, he never even did the minimal testing to see if it just needed a simple reset.
Needless to say, I thanked him for his time and told him I'd find an alternative.
I contacted the manufacturer, who recommended Nigel Mulgrew Plumbing. I called them after hours, and Andrew called me back. That in itself was impressive! He told me they were fully booked for another 4 days, but would call me should there be any cancellations. He also shared several pointers on how to diagnose the machine (for free). This next morning I received a call from the office, and within 20 mins Joel and his helper were at my house. It was a completely different experience from the previous day's experience with ""the other guys.""
Joel was quick to troubleshoot a handful of different things. He communicated my options very clearly, and was confident he knew what the issue might be. He serviced the machine (used air compressor, removed debris, checked fuses, measured gas intake, etc). He then called the manufacturer to confirm step-by-step process of clearing the codes that didn't go away even after a complete descale and servicing. He meticulously followed every instruction given over the phone with tech support, and soon the water heater was fully functional.
(We discovered that the water heater locked itself up internally due to multiple power outages we had experienced in Pacifica... thus the error code)

Joel was incredibly helpful and courteous! He clearly explained the process to me, and when it was all said and done, I didn't even have to pay him on the spot. Instead, I was emailed the bill the following day. My total bill was $387! This was significantly less than what the ""other guys"" wanted. Although I hope to not have to use a plumber very often, i at least know now where I'll go should I have to! I highly recommend their services!
(Ironically, I discovered later that the ""other guys"" are located right next to these guys). Take it from me, Nigel Mulgrew Plumbing is the way to go!

Awesome all around.

I was so stressed when I flushed my toilet and noticed a flood of water coming from the ceiling downstairs, the week before Xmas. I immediately turned off all the water to my whole place. I was thinking no running water and $$$$ to fix plumbing in the ceiling, right before the holidays, if I could even find anyone to come. Mulgrew fit me in, even though they indicated they were super busy. They stopped by the day I called to stop the bleeding, assessed that it was not as bad as I thought (an improperly seated toilet rather than a burst pipe), and turned the water back on, putting me at ease, and getting me back online. With 2 kids, this was critical.

Joe even gave me tips on how I could prep the space, before they came back, to reduce the job price estimate, as I indicated I was on a budget.

Joe and Francisco came back a a second time, before Xmas, to properly finish the job, and Installed a new toilet, that I'd purchased. They were fast, and efficient. They were also clean and thoughtful about keeping the space tidy, and not leaving a mess. The crew did not charge me for anything I didn't need. They brought in some of their best guys to make a final call on whether they needed to open up more ceiling, and decided against it, which saved me money and headache. The invoice even came in under the estimate. When does that ever happen?

Xmas came a few days early for me, with 2 working toilets and running water :-). I love my new toilet, and piece of mind.

This was the second time I used Mulgrew, they're my go-to for residential plumbing in Pacifica.

Nigel Mulgrew Plumbing is wonderful! I would highly recommend without hesitation. After a complete plumbing nightmare caused by another plumber. I reached out to Andrew and Nigel the owner and his team. They were very empathetic to our situation.

Nigel and Andrew came over themselves right away and assessed the situation. Unfortunately they found even more damage under our floors caused by that same plumber. Was bad news but could have been even worse had they not discovered it. We then work with an engineer and had Andrew and his colleague Joel do inspections and the work for us after.

Very good experience. Knowledgeable and trustworthy which is very rare in this area. Again would highly recommended.

We've have Nigel Mulgrew Plumbing come out to Redwood City twice now -- one urgent replacement of our sewage line and one non-urgent leak detection situation. In both cases, scheduling was easy and the team was quick and professional. In the latter visit, they worked hard to solve our leak and suggested a tiling service to help fix the issue.

Called in a couple times to request a quote and service for a small commercial rotating gas oven. The job was to simply install a gas regulator (retails for $40-50), which just needs to be screwed and fastened between the oven and existing gas hose.

Initially, it seemed no one had any understanding of what this was, and yet I was quoted just under $1,000 for this job for what should be a $200-300 max job.

The job itself is incredibly simple and should take no more than 15 min with the correct tools. I'm just disgusted that this company would price gauge female owned businesses in this way. I wouldn't recommend.

You can Count on personal service with an excellent result from Nigel Mulgrew plumbing. They fix my 18 year old toilet and restored it to its original condition. Parts that were discontinued were replaced with better ones. Nigel went on the Internet and found what was needed for this unusual job. I am so pleased with the gentleman who came and worked on my house. There were other things that needed to be attended to, the wall valve needed to be replaced and it's so easy to use now it was leaking before and now it's dry. The turn off valve to the outside of the house was not functioning properly and they replace that valve and put a new hose attachment for the garden. They are reliable, on time and I received excellent service and fair prices. I now refer to Nigel as ""my plumber"".

I called Nigel Mulgrew Plumbing to see if they could fix my toilet, which is a tricky, wall mounted European model. In fact, another plumber who had tried to fix it ended up breaking the lid trying to reinstall it. I spoke with Andrew who was very professional, incredibly responsive and was able to have two master plumbers come out right away. They were friendly and helpful showing me what the problem was. Most importantly, they were exceedingly competent. They fixed the problem well and quickly! Everyone I encountered at Nigel Mulgrew was a joy to work with and I will definitely will be calling them again for plumbing problems in the future. I highly recommend them.

I should start by saying above all, this is a wonderful plumbing company who's service, and customer service in general, is some of the best I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Late last year, we had some numerous things around the house that needed fixing, and/or replacement entirely. After initial visits and service, there were a total of three occasions they needed to come back out. Not once did they ever hesitate to promptly return and hear out our concerns. That's so refreshing and rare, especially in times like today! They replaced both toilet pumps, a shower valve that became a nuisance before, and our main line gas valve. All of which were more than reasonably priced, and done so with care and great work. We truly can't thank Nigel, Andrew, and Collie enough for their great work and for being more than thorough and accommodating with our issues! We will always use them and their services going forward if or when it's needed! Thanks again guys and keep up the great work.!
