Outrageously expensive is an understatement. I booked a three-hour window and called when no one had showed up. The plumber arrived at hour four. He was very polite and friendly. I had two issues (a drain and toilet) to which they wanted a total of $600! I said no to the toilet and yes to the drain for $300 since I had to leave for a business trip later that evening and not having it repaired could have caused more problems. It was a simple bath sink drain unclog that took all of 10 minutes with the auger. Although I knew I was being highly overcharged, I really felt bad for their customers who live on tight budgets and place confidence in their fairness. I cannot in good conscience ever use them again under any circumstance. It's sad because their work and the plumber were great. Taking advantage of customers, especially in affluent areas of town, has to be a gold mind/cash cow for them. Mr. Ramsey should say in his endorsements "trust Nick's Plumbing, but you better damn sure hold on tight to your wallet!" Their ownership should study the "opportunity cost of a customer." They prefer a $300 highly overcharged one time visit as opposed to reasonably pricing their services to earn potentially thousands of $$$ over the lifetime of a customer (through direct business and referrals to friends and neighbors.

I had a toilet that overflowed when my washing machine was on. I called Nick's Plumbing and set an appointment and waited through my three hour window and they were a no show. I called and their consistently messed up phone machine left me no options of speaking to a real person. I did leave a message and a rather annoyed woman named Karen calls me. Throughout I told her that no one had come and she (with the sound in her voice like she's talking and rolling her eyes) said she needed to look at the schedule. She called me back and they were on "an emergency" and needed to reschedule. I have been a long time client of Nick's so I gave grace and scheduled for January 3, 2015 10-1. Again a "no show" I called (the phone machine system still flaky) and finally got thru to leave a message, 45 minutes later a still annoyed Karen calls me says she needs to look at the schedule find out what happened and will call me back. She has a way of making you feel as though you are putting them out. She called back and said they had "an emergency" (where have I heard that before?) and he could be there when they finished. I told her I had sat something up with someone else because I haven't had the most reliable experience with Nick's. She offered no apology, nothing. She hung up on me because I am assuming I was bothering her with my business. I went with Benjamin Franklin Plumbers (they pay you $5.00 a minute they are late) I am disappointed Nick's Plumbing has become what it has.

Worst plumbing service ever! Was given a window between 12pm and 3pm received a phone call at 4:45pm that the plumber would be on his way in 30-45 minutes, no respect for ones time. Then came out the following day to attempt to refix an outdoor bathroom toilet that is used less than 1/2 a dozen times a year that they serviced in the summer that they charged me $375 to fix and low and behold the toilet is still leaking loads of water from the base of the toilet. They want to charge me $325 to fix it again. It's like they did absolutely nothing the first time they came out because the first problem still exists but they want to charge me more money! NO THANKS!!

I called to schedule a consult with them. Scheduled me for a 3 hour window. I called before the window to ensure they were still coming. They didn't come. Close at 6. Tried to call them before they closed (2x). No response.
No thanks. I expect people to be punctual and come when promised. If you aren't going to come, (they are supposed to call 30 mins before) they didn't- then call me and let me know so I don't have to waste my time.
These people apparently don't want your business.

I always request Josh Baker and he is the best plumber I have ever worked with in twenty years of owning historic rental properties in the Heights. neat, clean, and communicative on all the issues associated with the repair. Finally a plumber I can TRUST to get it repaired HONESTLY.

Horrible service! Did not show up when scheduled nor did they call to let me know. I would not recommend using them for anything. Thank goodness it was not an emergency.

So I called nicks because they were referred to me by a friend, and made an appointment. The guy who came, Louis, was very knowledgeable. But he stated he couldn't do anything because I had two adjoining bathrooms and I would need a contractor to make a hole in my wall before he could assess the problem. He told me to text/email him the picture and he might be able to assess it from that. I hired a contractor the very next day. After making the hole we sent Louis the pictures but knowing that it was the weekend I kinda thought he wouldn't reply until Monday. Called the company Monday asking for him and the person who picked up said they would let him know we called. After a day of no response I called them again stating that I haven't heard from him. They said they would let him know and he would be calling me back. I know they have my number because every time I call, they ask for your number! Had to call another plumber to fix my leak. I guess a blessing in disguise.
When calling for an appointment the people on the phone were nice and professional. I will give them that.

We had them out a week ago to fix a back up in our master bath. We liked them because they seemed to do a good job installing a new water heater a few years ago. After my husband missed a half day of work and over $2000 later, we are having the same problem a week later. I called them and had an appointment in the afternoon. I had to take a half day off of work and, guess what...they never showed up. Worst of all, Brenda, the one who sets up the appointments was less than understsnding or had any sense of customer service. They finally sent someone out today, but guess what...the guys didnt have the right equipment to do the job. So, I called Brenda back asking to talk to a manager. So, far, no calls from anyone who gives a darn about their customers or referrals! We used to tell our friends to use them, but after this experience, unless a manager makes this right immediately, I will make it my mission to keep people from using this company!

My kids called this plumber to unplug a toilet the day of their Christmas party and he was there less than an hour, told them he had to remove the toilet, then rotorootered the drain from outside and charged them $600. Shameful!

Had an appointment scheduled between 8a-9a this morning (First Call). At 9:25a I called to find out when the tech would be here and they said that they would call me back. They never did. I called back at 10:00a and they said that the tech would be available in 45 minutes, maybe.
