Terrible customer service. I requested to have water run to a washer/dryer combo unit and he showed up and didn't have the right info from our phone call. Said he thought I was doing something with a sink.

Then he told me the job was impossible. I tried to inquire about alternate solutions and he proceeded to tell me all the reasons I don't get it. No alternate solutions, no helpful suggestions (actually he did mention maybe I could hire a handyman to help me solve this?)

Anyway basically It seemed like he didn't want to do the job before he got there, as his feedback was that I'm completely screwed and it can't happen.

Side note: There is an upstairs sink already set up for plumbing we can probably modify for the washer/dryer, btw. Didn't think of it until afterwards but if he had pursued alternate solutions that surely would've occurred to me. But he didn't try to be helpful at all. Boo.

Bob and his team are great to work with. We discovered a leak and Bob came out that day and gave us a bid. Because of how our house was originally plumbed, it turned out to be a large and expensive job, but Bob's quote was more than fair (I got a couple of other estimates for comparison) and he made room on his schedule to get us taken care of quickly. Bob and his team were very professional, very clean, and the work they did is great. I would not hesitate to recommend them and I will use them again in the future if we need it.

We had the water main between the street and the house spring a major leak and Bob came out with a quick bid and got the ball rolling right away after I accepted the bid. A few days later we were back in action with a whole new water line from the street to basement and it works perfectly and just passed inspection this morning. Super nice guy, nice crew, and now I know exactly who I'll call when I have other plumbing needs.

Bob was referred to me by a work colleague. I needed some help with the anti-scald settings on the showers in our bathroom. It wasn't of the highest priority, but Bob came quickly assessed the situation and did great work. While he was there, he also took a quick look at the rest of the house's setup. He was extremely professional and nice. Nichols will Plumbing will be my first call if I ever need any future work.

Clogged drain on a Friday night, called Bob, left message and he returned call Saturday morning and made appointment. He was on time, kind, and considerate. The Clog was more than just needing a snake, he had to go under the house. I like that he took a video to show us the problem he was seeing under the house. Discussed a few options for repair prices and all at a fair reasonable price for Saturday work. Also, he stated he was going to the Auto show and never did I feel he was rushing to get done. Awesome work, highly recommend, will use again

We had a broken pipe in our front yard during the big Portland snow storm this week and were without water to our house. No plumbers were willing to come to our house due to the roads until we found Nichols Plumbing. They not only braved the snowy, icy roads to come to our house, but they spent the entire afternoon working and digging in our front yard to find and fix our broken pipe. They fixed the pipe and got the water restored to our house in freezing conditions. They were reasonable considering the difficulty of the job and we knew their hourly rate ahead of time. They were also very nice and professional. I'd highly recommend them and will definitely use them again when we need plumbing assistance.

My tenants called with a leak showing up on the ceiling last weekend. Bob showed up within a few hours of me calling, on a Saturday, and had the leak diagnosed and fixed in a short amount of time at a reasonable rate. He also called the tenants ahead of time to diagnose and set up the appointment, and kept in touch with me as the owner to keep me up to date. Top notch all around.

Wow, a great no nonsense plumber. Schedule appointment, on time, give quote and down to business. No house call fee or down payment as many plumbers now require. Bob quoted me what it would cost if he did not run into unseen problems, he finished on time at exactly the price he quoted. He is friendly honest and takes pride in a job well done.
