Nichols Plumbing is rude and untrustworthy. They were assigned as the independent contractor by our home warranty company to come take care of our septic tank. They never called us, we left messages, for over a week. It got to the point of we needed someone to come out immediately because our septic tank was backing up into our showers & sinks & we had toilets overflowing. I contacted my home warranty company at that point and they told me Nichols couldn't come out to assist us that we needed to find someone on our own. We found Belton Septic Tank Service (910) 425-8876 through neighborhood recommendations and they helped us right away with great service and at a very reasonable cost.

They were very pleasant to work with and Rich was so helpful. Came out at 10 pm on a Saturday evening to clear a clogged drain. He was quick and very professional. The price was super reasonable for a Saturday night emergency service. Absolutely great company to work with.

In the middle of the heat wave my air conditioning decided to quit. Called Nichols and they were out that day...after hours no less! I was worried I would be waiting for weeks! They troubleshooted the system and did not believe I needed to buy a new one. The issue was not straight forward and they needed come back several times. They were never frustrated with me and were very complete. I was grateful for their professionalism and also their attention to COVID precautions. Their bill was very reasonable and we were grateful. I would use them again.

A few weeks ago the city came out to replace our water meter and found leaky valves upon inspection. We were referred to Nichols by a family friend. My husband made the call, no price or info was given to him by the female dispatcher, only a time window when the plumber would arrive. If I recall, the window was 8-11 and the plumber arrived at 10. Brief introduction, I opened the garage and 30-45 mins later he was done. He handed me an invoice and off he went. On the bill was a labor charge for $170 and $40 for parts. It seemed high so I emailed. I received feedback and 3 days later an answer regarding our concern.

Dispatcher: ""Ok so I told Chris about the issue and he said we charge for travel time and that may have been into that time. We will take off a half hour and the rate is 115 a hour so I changed the bill and attached it!""

Me: ""Oh. Ok. Our house is right next door to your warehouse. Our backyard faces you. Does that change anything?""

Dispatcher: ""Well if he was there 1st you would have 0 travel time but he was coming from somewhere else because it was in the middle of the day. If you ever schedule things with us and do not want any travel charge it would be 1st or last!!!!""

My deductions are based off of the lack of info we were given prior to scheduling an appointment. Had we been notified of travel charges we would have scheduled the first appointment. My advice would be to ask what all of your charges include.

I called about 10 plumbers today for a big
Leak we had at the office. I found Nichols plumbing and gave it a shot. I called their office and a woman named Stephanie answered, she was extremely polite and helpful she told me that they would be out to my office in 20 minutes. I heard that earlier from a different plumber and they never showed up. 20 minutes later a Nichols truck pulled up and the guy came up to me very friendly I pointed him in the direction of the issue and he immediately got to work and told me not to worry about anything. Within an hour or so he was done and the job was completed perfectly. Their prices are very reasonable especially for a last
Minute emergency type situation. I am very satisfied with how they conduct business and how they do work. Thank you again and will recommend and use again.
