I can't speak for any of the negative reviews posted. Our experience with NFP was nothing but professional. We hired Nick (and brother Sal) to fix gas fireplace logs that ceased working. They were professional, clean, courteous and got the job done. Fireplace was put back in working order with extensive cleaning and reset. Treated my home like it was their own. Happy with job performance and highly recommend. Looks like new. Thanks, gents!!

As honest as I can be .... Nick and Sal are extremely nice guys, and I truly believe they mean well. Like the previous review by Tara B, I think they over estimate themselves. With 100% certainty they are clean, and show that they care about your property, once they show up.

I waited 3 weeks for a job that was already paid for to be rescheduled and completed only to be stood up on 2 separate occasions, both as no call no shows. I had an appointment first thing in the morning to ensure that there were no possible delays from a job previous to mine in the day. Still, no show, no call. They offered a partial refund on the project, which I accepted in good faith. Refund nowhere to be found, and now they won't return text messages or calls.

2 stars in stead of 1 due to the fact that their pricing is fair, they seem to be very nice guys, and appear to have good intentions. Execution and customer service is 0 stars. All in all, if you need a small repair, toilet or faucet installation, etc, and aren't in a hurry or work from home and can wait around all day, these guys would probably be a good hire for you. Any more in depth work and situations where your schedule is less flexible, I suggest someone else.

If I could give zero stars I would !

Nick Puglia came out and gave me an estimation for the job, $300.00 he said and I agreed and hired him. He and his brother Sal ( Anthony) showed up 9am to do the job and shortly after they started they realized they would need to do more drilling then than initially figured. Nick stated this would be an additional 2 hours of work. I agreed and he continued. At 2 o'clock Nick said he was going to calculate the bill I assumed they near done, I said okay and I paid them $525. However at 3 o'clock they were still working, Nick left to go to another job site and Sal stayed behind and continue to work. Then 3 o'clock turned into 4 o'clock and 4 o'clock turn into 5 o'clock. I feeling nervous and confused as to why he was still here was poking around and noticed some concerns.
Having to drill/cut more than they realized and adding on 2 more hours to the job was the least of the problems on this job. Nick not only underestimated the job but overestimated their skill level.

1. There was a failure to reconnect the sink drain to the main drain, leaving me with a sink I can't use.
2. Failure to make the original washer pipes obsolete. The cold water is still hooked up therefore I can't remove the pipes from the wall and patch the wall.
3. Failure to measure correctly the hole that is now in my house for the dryer vent. I specifically stated I wanted it flush but now since the vents dont line up there needs to be flex hose. The exact opposite of what I wanted.

Well the next day came and although Sal promised to come back they did not. Instead I received a text from Nick late the next day with the audacity to tell me that in order for them to come back and fix the errors that they made he wanted to charge me $270.

I had new plumbers come instead. Told me the job is not up to code. They used 1 1/2 inch pipe and it should be two inches for the amount of water that's going through those pipes, they did not have proper trap and overall the new plumber consider the job ""negligent"". I ended up paying for their services as well.

So I've learned this lesson, I realize now that neither Nick nor Sal is a licensed plumber. Well they have a business license number, an LLC, they're not New Jersey Masters Plumbers. Next I will check for higher standards.

BE CAREFUL. I used N.F.P. Home Services in May 2016 and was very happy with the work; but on October 31st to November 4th had a bad experience with Nick and Sal. I asked to have the pipe under my tub fixed as it was leaking and to have the clog/blockage in the same pipe removed as the water was not draining from the tub; the water was backed up. Since Nick & Sal were fixing the leaking pipe I also asked them to replace the faucet, drain and other workings in the tub since they were over 25 years old. I paid cash ($685.00) for the job. Then I found the stopper in the tub was not working; the chain was not attached. Sal and Nick came back and fixed this issue. Then Nick told me it was a waste of time to fix the stopper in the tub since the tub was not draining. Nick said I never told him the tub was not draining. It took 4 days to get a message from Nick saying that I never told him the tub was not draining, he told me to stop calling him and find another plumber as they do not have the tools to clear a blockage in a pipe. If found another plumber that said they would have charged me $400.00 for the same $685.00 job that Nick and Sal did. The new plumber snaked the pipe in 5 minutes. I cannot believe a plumber does not have a snake tool on his truck. (Please know Nick had an emergency on November 3rd and could not be reached - no one answered the phone). When you are in business you need to let your awaiting customers know you have an issue. When I have an emergency I have to tell my boss I will not be available. I hired another plumber to finish the job. *** Oh, I only have 1 bathroom; so imagine living without a draining tub for 5 days awaiting your plumber to help you. ----- Some days are better then others -----

Nick & Sal are great. I was in need of an emergency tub install after we had a pipe break behind our old shower. They gave me a competitive quote over the phone and were willing to work through some challenges to get the job done right within a day of the tub being delivered. Absolutely recommend NFP to anyone in need of plumbing work. Honest, family owned, and quality oriented business.

Made the mistake of paying them ahead of time. Paid to have them install a new Hot Water Heater which they damaged the outer shell installing and to make things worse, damaged my heater that sat next to it. Had to pay an extra $300 to have my HVAC fixed. Made them aware of this and no response at all.
