I used to really like using Matt for plumbing. Not the most comprehensive service, but a nice guy who showed up and did the job for a reasonable price. Then when he started getting more jobs, when he wasn't just starting out, he became impossible to get hold of. He never responds to the message left on the website. He doesn't respond to the phone call. Then his voice mail is full and you can't even leave a message. Look, if he's busy, best of luck to him. But without the basic courtesy to call back? Answer a message that his own website tells people to leave there? I'm done. This has now happened three times in a row.

So happy to have discovered Matt! He's a Laguna Beach Local - showed up same day, diagnosed and fixed two leaky bathtubs which other plumbers have tried to fix multiple times. While the big plumbing cos have upsides the downside is they're only as good as the tech that comes out - some techs are great, some are not. And it's not easy to always get the same guy.

Matt is the whole deal - honest, efficient, and determined (he figured out a really tricky leak - the fix was simple but detecting it took skill).

Matt did a great job hooking up the water line for my new refrigerator. He even attach one side of the freezer door handle after the delivery guys neglected to do it. He arrived quickly and squeezed my job in because I was leaving the next day on vacation. I highly recommend him.

Once again our old house needed plumbing help and Matt was there in a snap. He quickly repaired the leak that was coming from a small hole in a copper pipe behind our shower plumbing. The repair was done quickly and for a very fair price. We also had him snake our drain while he was there. Matt will be our go-to guy for all our plumbing needs.

We needed our bathroom sink fixed in our office and I got an estimate from another local plumber who told me that we would need to replace the sink. After ordering a new sink I tried calling said company back and was unable to get ahold of them so I reached out to Matt at Newt's plumbing. He came by to look at the sink and told me that he could just order a replacement part and repair the original sink. True to his word, he ordered the part and came in to fix it within the week. He was efficient and honest, we will definitely use Newt's plumbing service for any future plumbing needs!

If I could only find a Matt-like electrician, painter, finish carpenter, etc., maintaining a house by the beach might actually be a pleasure!

We couldn't have chosen a better plumber. First visit he unclogged our kitchen drains. Second visit he checked out our water heater and replaced it the same day. Good price, didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. We will always use Matt and especially like that he is a born and raised Laguna Beach guy.
