We've been using Newton Plumbing for a couple years now and they are the BEST.

This morning, sewage started bubbling up in the shower and bathtub. I called Newton and they showed up by the afternoon. They snaked the pipes, ""gave the roots a haircut"" and all is well again.

If you have a plumbing problem, call Newton. These guys are SOLID. Fast to respond, reasonable, trust-worthy and they do a excellent job.

My automatic hot water/cold water filter next to my sink wouldn't turn off at 7:00 am on a Saturday morning. I called Newton Plumbing hoping they could quickly send a technician over (as I watched water being wasted and was freaking out!!) and although they didn't have anyone they could send immediately, the guy on the phone asked me to send him photos of what the unit looked like under the sink and then walked me through what to do to turn the water off. He was SO nice and patient, and I was able to turn the water off myself. I plan on following up with Newton Plumbing so they can help to permanently fix the issue, but this Saturday-morning quick fix was SO appreciated. THANK YOU!

These guys are good! We had roots in our main line which led to backups in our bathrooms flooding the bathroom floor every couple of months. Rescue Rooters estimated $8k to replace the main line. Anyway we decided to try someone else and boy are we glad we did. Newton plumbing was recommended to us and i'm so glad we called. Their price to replace the main line sewer was reasonable so we decided to go for it. These guys are now our go-to plumbers and we have been recommending them to everyone. We really like Scott and his team. It's hard to find honest and decent contractors, i can't recommend these guys enough.

After 50 years of seeing the company trucks in my neighborhood I got smart and called them. I cannot believe the high level of service and workmanship I have had. Scott, the owner, has been on top of things, calling to inform me every step of the way, and the craftsmen he has working are excellent - clean, careful and very experienced. The repair was a new gas line (something you want done properly!) and their price was fair, the process clearly explained to me before the start and NO UP SELLING! Mike Diamond's man told me my sewer line was leaking which they had supposedly fixed less than 8 months ago! Please give Newton Plumbing the opportunity to bid on your job and trust they will do as they say without taking advantage of you.

I can't even tell you how happy we are with the work Newton did for us. We've had recurring problems with our ancient plumbing for years, and every other plumber we'd ever hired had either misdiagnosed what was wrong or done a half-assed band-aid solution.
It took Mike from Newton all of 30 minutes to determine what our problem was, and less than an hour to fix it.

I couldn't be happier with these guys. I've used them for every plumbing emergency, and today I had a big one, as my water heater was flooding the garage. Scott (the owner) came over in 5 mins., assessed the situation, told me it was an easy fix, and made everything better. Done and done! Customer for life.

Beware of this classic bait and switch operation. Their Internet ad (since changed) said it was a local family business in the Palms/Mar Vista area for decades that would snake a drain for $59. The crew that came arrived in a Surfside Plumbing truck and they changed into Newton shirts before they came in. Usually we use John Keefe or Jo-Mi every year for ten years to keep our drain flowing with no problem, but this was a holiday. Utilizing their video camera they showed us incomprehensible grainy images and proceeded to scare us into believing that they couldn't use the standard head on their snake and may need to do extensive work. For a simple one hour project, one day turned to three while the foreman, Harry Steinengen came and went with his miniature poodles, while his flunky dug holes. The escalating anxiety-producing stories coupled with bleak assessment of our problem kept us out of our water for three days. My wife reduced to tears, I called the boss who came and cleared the drain in minutes. Afterwards we hired our usual guys for peace of mind. I complained bitterly to the new owner, who admitted to firing this Steinengen clown, and said that he would refund half of our $1200 payment. They were quick to take our money, but it took six months of constant cajoling against their excuses to finally get the refund; but when we finally did it was also a waiver to never talk or write about this experience or face legal action. This did not sit right with me, so I returned the check. I complained to the BBB, but nothing came of it. So now I do hope that this review serves as a giant red flag saying ""BEWARE"".

Leaky heater hose - checked Yelp and called them after reading reviews. Their guy came and saw the leak, thought he had a hose in his truck, called the office and supervisor wanted to charge $225 to change one leaky hose on top of the water heater. Instead, roommate went & bought the hose ( $17 at Home Depot) and it took less than 10 minutes to change. Their pricing - ripoff.
