My Rinnai tankless hot water heater stopped working. Mauricio is certified to repair them. He had it working in about 45 minutes. So thankful for him and his great work. Easy to deal with. Straightforward about the problem and the cost to repair.

Just moved into a new place where it has a Rinnai tankless water heater. For days, I could not figure out how to get hot water in the shower; just lukewarm. I'm able to obtain hot water in the bathroom sink. I contacted Rinnai who gave me Newport Plumbing's number. I spoke with Mauricio at Newport Plumbing about the situation. Since I had hot water in the sink, he suggested that this was most likely a shower valve issue/adjustment. Based on Mauricio's knowledge (and with the help of YouTube), I was able to adjust the shower valve to gain hot water. Thank you Mauricio.

I initially wanted to leave a review before even being provided a service based off of my interaction with Mauricio alone. He is very responsive and advised me on how to handle an issue for the place of business I manage that we were experiencing at the time. I really appreciated him going out of his way to provide extra info as I had called several other plumbing services. When it came time for him to come in, he was very knowledgeable, honest and efficient with time. I highly recommend him and would definitely be calling him again in the future should an issue arise.

I returned from a two-week trip out of the country late at night to discover what I thought was a problem with my tankless water heater. I could not turn on my water main that night. After calling another plumber I frantically searched the OEM (Rinnai) site for the water heater to see if they had 24-hour customer service. The site recommended three local service/repair companies for their brand. Newport/Mauricio was the second call I made the next morning, after the first place said they could not get to me until the next day. Mauricio took my call on driving on his way to another service call and he diagnosed my problem over the phone -- it was not the tankless water heater after all. He sent two of his service men out that same day and they fixed the issue in the bitter cold (during the coldest winter in years in LA) and in waning daylight, basically dark.

I am glad that I found all the other stellar reviews for Mauricio/Newport, including Rinnai's endorsement of Mauricio/Newport. I highly recommend Mauricio/Newport and they will be my go-to for plumbing problems from now on.

I am so happy I found Newport Plumbing! My tankless water heater had issues. I called Newport after a plumber from another company had came out and failed to figure out the problem. So glad I called Newport. Maurico was extremely responsive and arrived in less than an hour. Unlike the other guy, Maurico is clearly an experienced expert on Navien tankless heaters. He diagnosed the issue, got the job done, and did not try to upsell me on stuff I didn't need. Highly recommended! Thank you!!!!

If I could award 10 stars, I would. Mauricio has been my plumber for three years and counting. He is not only extremely skilled, but also incredibly responsive, timely, and professional. He has remedied everything from a clogged shower drain to major emergency plumbing issues at my home. He has even talked me through unclogging a toilet over the phone. I have worked with literally thousands of vendors over the past three plus decades and every once in a while come across someone who stands ahead of the rest. Well today I came across that someone and his name is Maurico who owns Newport Plumbing.

In a nutshell, I had a problem with my tankless water heater and after speaking with one of his competitors that said it's going to cost $250.00 to look at my unit, after a couple minutes on the phone with Mauricio it was evident no one needed to come by as he was able to troubleshoot my unit and get it back on line rendering a service call unnecessary! He provided this help understanding he was getting nothing in return and although I offered to send a gift cert for him to enjoy lunch on me he would not allow it and just said to let him know when there's anything further he can do for me.

BTW, Newport Plumbing's service call fee is $100.00 less than the other company I spoke with (that offered no assistance).

It's so rare these days to find someone that
A: knows their craft well
B: cares about the quality of their work
C: cares about their workspace (in this case your home)
D: is a problem solver

I've had several plumbers over the past 10 years come through my home, and none of them have taken the time to understand the problems, troubleshoot the should be's vs the actualities, and arrive at workable answers. All this while not belittling me simply because I'm a woman or trying to take me to the cleaners.

If you hesitate on making calls to 'professionals' because 9/10 times they make more problems than they fix- this is the guy you need- this is the call you actually will look forward to making.

Mauricio is a hardworking, reliable, talented, professional artisan. Quite simply, I've finally found a dependable and respectable plumber.
