This review is long overdue, a few months back Newell's installed a new Trane furnace in our house near Empourium PA. It couldn't have gone any better, very competitive price with great work done quickly by the Newell techs. thanks Steve.

Newell plumbing has been our plumber of choice for many years and I always appreciated their service. But recently I found them to go above and beyond good service to excellent service. I had a septic back-up due to an unknown cause. They worked through a process of elimination. 1. The septic tank had caved in and needed replaced. 2. Further up the line there was still a plug that was determined to be there for quite a while due to a previous septic tank that was in place and clasped. 3. Steve Sr. figure a less expensive way to install a larger tank and get our system done right this time. Everyone worked hard when they were here and I was kept up to date on what needed done when. It was done quickly before a 5 day rain event came. Thank you Newell Plumbing Team!!!!

They showed up when they said. The technician was efficient and had the part necessary and finished quickly. The charger for their service was very reasonable.

I will definitely call whenever issues crop up.

I wish I had a good experience to share. This was not a good experience. The job was challenging but well within the scope of true professionals. Newell's was hired to locate an old but totally working septic tank. After two days of work the results are as follows:
1) No location of the septic tank. The equipment could not reach it.
2) A cut access pipe (acceptable) but sludge was left on the floor over the first night. Should have been cleaned up. (Positive note, line was relieved of some backup.)
3) A ""repaired"" pipe that continued to leak which we had to fix ourselves.
4) A bill for $785. We were not sent an itemized receipt. Talking to Steve (owner) he said it was for two days/two technicians $70/hr each. This was not told to the 73 year old customer until after the ""work"" was done.
5) POOR COMMUNICATION: The cost and procedures were not clearly communicated. Conversations with Steve and a technician showed neither would take responsibility. Steve (owner) blamed it on the old system and challenge of the project. Although the technician was more professional he blamed the leaking pipe on the trainee.
This situation did not need to happen. Clear communication about cost and procedure and professional service would have gone a long way.
