If I could give no stars, I would. They were supposed to come yesterday between 10 and 12. At 2, my dad finally called and they said ""oh yeah, we can't make it today."" Never bothered to tell us. Rescheduled for today between 12 and 2. It is now almost 5 and still, nothing. We called at 3 and they said they were on their way. Called again at 4 and got an answering machine. This is ridiculous. We wasted two days for nothing. TERRIBLE!

NY Plumbing & Sewer Rooter, in particular plumber Erik K has done fantastic jobs for us twice. Both times were leaks in old plumbing in awkward or barely accessible locations. Last night Erik came at 10 PM for a leak behind an old 6 door cabinet in our laundry room in the basement. The cabinets, from the original kitchen and about 70 years old are in a single piece about 6 feet long with an additional shelf the same length. The leak was just above the top right corner which had been cut away just enough to make room for the old valves when the cabinets were installed. Instead of making us take the cabinets down which would have been a monumental task he cut away that portion of the shelf and the right side and remaining top to gain access to the pipes. Previous owners trying to deal with a leak had piled on plumber's epoxy which dries like steel so he also had to get all that off. After over 3 hours the task was completed. Erik just doesn't give up!
NY Plumbing & Sewer has emergency service 24/7. Both times we needed them on a weekend. They have 3 numbers - 718-843-4700, 516-795-8000 and 631-425-7800. We are in the 718 area code so I am assuming Erik only responds to 718 calls. And as our experience has only been with Erik I can't vouch for any other of their plumbers. So if you have a problem insist on Erik.

I called these guys on THANKSGIVING for a busted toilet.The serviceman got here in under an hour ! ( Just in time ) He was like one of the family.You saved the day.

NEGLIGENT WORK - EXTENSIVE DAMAGE - WON'T DISCUSS DAMAGES! A simple routing job became a week long nightmare, with damage to plumbing, a ruined closet of clothes and bedware, damaged ceiling, and a $600 repair bill. Now they won't even talk to me. They hang up on me and refuse to tell me who their insurance carrier is. This is no way for a business to deal with a problem. If you ask a plumbing company if they are insured, and they say Yes;, doesn't that imply that you can get the information needed to make a claim for damages? Don't deal with these people. They are not honest. It's all well & good when there is no problem with the work, but how a plumber deals with problems & disputes is the true measure of whether or not you should do business with them. If you use them, better hope that all goes well, ecause they don't do anything about it if there are problems.
