This is an update to my original post. I did receive the check I requested from Nevada Heating for $2800. to cover the TV, mount and labor. I also received an apology from the general manager, Eric Robnett. However, the way he dodged my phone calls for a week, then treating me the way he did at their shop when I finally had the time to drive out there was unprofessional and unexcusable. Would I recommend Nevada Heating to family/friends? After spending over $18,000 at their company and receiving the poor service and some of the shoddy work they did it's ""NO"".

I had Nevada Heating move a fireplace over 14 inches in March that they previously installed last year to make the surround 28 inches smaller. Part of the job was to relocate the TV over the fireplace. 3 months later I came home from work to find the TV and mount laying on the floor. I called the company every day that week and sent them this pic. After a week of no acknowledgement I made the 25 minute drive to their shop-I told the lady at the front desk who I was and requested to speak to the owner or manager. About 15 minutes later a gentleman named Eric Robnet greeted me. He told me that it looked like someone pulled the TV off the wall! What the real problem was that his installer fastened an almost 100 lb TV and mount to the wall using hollow wall fasteners. The correct way would have been to fasten it to studs. During our conversation he became agitated, turned around and walked away which I thought was rude. I requested a check for $2800. to cover the cost of the TV, mount and labor-he never replied. Now I'm forced to take the company to small claims court since he and the company refuse to do anything. I've spent over $18,000 with this company-I used to own and manage an auto service center-if a customer came to me with a problem caused by my techs they were put front and center and taken care of. Eric Robnett and and Nevada Heating apparently know nothing about good customer service or acknowledging defective work by their techs. I've had other problems with them-when they installed the original fireplace they did it without the proper permit in place. In April of 2022 they recommended replacing the return duct for my furnace for $2000. A week after they did the job the insulation started falling off and they had to send out another tech to fix it. Summing up, this company is the poorest excuse of a business I've ever dealt with.

They're great at getting you sold on products and installation for the follow up is absolutely terrible. I guess when they install a new furnace, they have to pull a permit for the City of Reno, and have it inspected. Turns out, they need to make some corrections. Somehow, it's been my responsibility to try and get them to come out and make this VERY SIMPLE REPAIR. In addition, I've asked them to make a correction to my thermostat - as it was supposed to be one that I could control the heating/air on a timed schedule. I've called four times - my first call being in January - and have YET to receive a response from someone in their office.
Added a second star because the installers and the salesperson we're great but eeesh. This is ridiculous.

Quinn Reid of Nevada Heating and Air came today to service our air conditioner. He was very informative and explained everything he did and what needed to do. He found a hole in the duct under the house which was leaking air and repaired it. I would recommend his work to anyone.

Our 20+ years old heating and cooling system were in need of replacement. After getting quotes from two other companies I was ready to go. However, I had minor questions with both companies and after repeated requests for answers which went unanswered I gave up and called Nevada Heating on the recommendation of a friend. The response was prompt and Rich Hilstad came out and did a thorough analysis of what I needed and supplied two options for consideration, both excellent. We went ahead installing the furnace first as the AC unit was on backorder. I have to say the technicians were terrific, particularly as we still had two feet of snow around the house and it was extremely cold. The furnace was installed including updating the vent system plus prepping for the the AC unit in record time and beautifully done. No mess, all redundant material removed. The crew lead by Roger Ibarra were super nice. A few weeks later they were back with the AC unit. Again working in very cold adverse conditions. The unit was installed quickly and tested. Everything was fine and extremely well done. The team this time was led by Kevin Amador. Kudos to all involved. I definitely recommend this company.

Jacob Hahn was the service professional who came for my annual fireplace servicing. He was polite, respectful of my house, helpful and did a great job on my fire insert. It works great now and is immaculate. Would ask for him again in a heart beat.

Nevada Heating Cooling Plumbing Fireplace did an excellent job on my gas fireplace cleaning/tuneup today. They are lucky to have Nick Rumbaugh as their maintenance technician. He went through a long list and checked everything as well as cleaning. I was impressed as he explained what he was doing. I knew I was in good hands from the minute he came thru my front door slipping on his shoe covers. Most do not do that anymore. Nevada Heating usually has a coupon in the monthly ValPak that ends up in your mailbox every month to keep the expense down. It was well worth taking advantage of the coupon. I now don't have to worry about cleaning my gas fireplace myself, and it was very thorough and money well spent.

Unreliable when it counts.

Their service plan is a ripoff, scam and they do not honor those maintenance requests ahead of anyone else, as promised when they sold it to us.

They ""serviced"" our fireplace twice, both times it took weeks to book, and both times it only worked for 1 day.

The office team is rude, condescending, and incompetent. The management team is completely unavailable and refused to even engage with us as client or listen to our feedback. We were nothing but polite yet firm with asking them to deliver on their promises. In return, they treated us like they were running a fast food restaurant and couldn't care less if we stayed or left. No offense to fast food workers.

With so many other options out there, I would strongly recommend you select a competent, reliable, and friendly team who values you as a client.

Do not give these arrogant people your hard earned money. They do not deserve your business (check the recent reviews, we are not alone).

Update: The owner decided NOT to give us a discount for all the time wasted
and we had to have another idiot in our home fixing it over the weekend when we had houseguests :(

DO NOT USE Nevada Heating AKA Home Energy Experts. They have not honored our service agreements, lost them, and refused to fix their mistakes. When it was proven that we bought an AC unit from them, they refused to take ownership of their mistake and tried charging us a lot of money. When we paid to have our water heater that they installed serviced because it was continuously leaking, they claimed it was fixed 3 separate times and never fixed it. This company does not invest in training employees properly and they do not take care of their customers. Don't waste your time.
