Very very nice and helpful.I was dumb and broke the water hose with my car. I called around lunch time and Carrie was the only few that answered back right away. She gave me a free quote and did the job very quick. Not only was the price fair but she was very insightful with helping me try to prevent this from happening again. She also gave me pointers about other small things she noticed around the house. Very nice and helpful. I would recommend her to anyone.

First of all, I rarely take the time to write a review, but Carrie really deserves the effort. I hired her to put in a new gas line for our new range that we had installed last week. Carrie is a delight to work with. Very reliable, courteous & professional. When the San Jose inspector came to check things out (after she pulled the permits for us!) he was in and out of here in under 5 minutes. I commented that he had an easy job. His response was, ""I wish all of my inspections were this easy."" In my book that says a lot. Everything was done to code and passed with flying colors. She and her brother Chris were careful to put down drop cloths throughout the pathway between our meter and the crawl space. They cleaned up after themselves, and worked around our maids who just happened to be scheduled the same time as the inspection and installation. I now have my plumber for every occasion moving forward, and I can't recommend her enough!

Had an emergency plumbing issue at home (8PM, 2/10/2016), and called Carrie for help (after searching plumbing services from Yelp). She responded my call right away, and asked me a few pictures of the ""situation"". Then she got back to me explaining that she could be back the next morning cause she needs to get the special part. She showed up 9:00 AM in the morning, and fixed our problem. She was explaining in details what went wrong, and what we need to do prevent the same incident in future. Very happy and satisfied with the service!!

Craftsmanship takes time.

Carrie & team recently did the copper re-pipe for our whole house. Everything they did was high quality! We chose Nelson Plumbing to do the work because of their focus on the details, willingness to take time to answer all our questions & referral from a good friend.
Carrie did much of the work herself. The project went smoothly. She really minimized the amount of time that the water was shutoff, and everyday they cleaned up and left the house in the same state (or cleaner) than they found it.
We're very satisfied with the quality of the work! And our ""new"" water pressure is phenomenal.

Water was gushing from our meter near the street. We were able to turn it off with the help from our neighbor---but we had no water in our house. We called Nelson Plumbing and they came out the next day. Carrie and her brother were great. We eventually will need to do extensive work to replace 48 year old pipes. But we're just getting back on our feet financially. Carrie was great!--she replaced the part that was damaged and charged us only for that. We will definitely use them again--especially for extensive work that we know is in the future. They deserve our business! Super honest and responsive. Don't know what the other disgruntled customers are talking about!---our experience was great!

Wanted to replace 2 older toilets that were taking needing regular maintenance from me to stop running, flush right, etc. and remembered I my home inspection report from 15+ yrs ago mentioned galvanized pipe that should be replaced, so decided to call the plumbers and get it all taken care off. Called Nelson Plumbing, based on our previous great experience with them. Carrie got back to me within an hour or so, came out to quote the job the next day, and set us up w/ an appointment a few days later that worked for all of us.

On the day of work, ran into some more issues to resolve (galvanized waste line from kitchen/garage that was starting to show rust/thin spots, PRV with a small leak, and located under the house where it'd be tough to see / fix). Carrie talked me thru the new issues - gave me her inputs and advice but didn't pressure us at all (couple of items she thought could wait I preferred to do then, before I put it off for another 15+ yrs...) Got the toilets in / done that day, and Carrie and crew came back another day that worked for all of us to do all the under the house work. Great work - very fair prices, they went the etc. mile to put in a bunch of blocking between floor joists and properly hang the water pipes (old ones were literally hung by a couple of wire coat hangers) - no extra charge, they did it because it was the right way to do it.

For folks who complain about customer service - they're a small job - it's Carrie and her crew. The person who answers the phone is at a generic phone center, takes your info, and fires it off to Nelson Plumbing. But if they off on a job, under a house and or in the middle of something that needs to get done (like replacing water pipes and you have 0 water in the house until it's done), there's no time to answer right then... If it's not urgent, I'd be patient if you want a great job done at a really good price.

Had a big squishy spot in my front yard, and a water bill that was creeping up, so I did some research and got a recommendation for Nelson Plumbing. Boy was that the best move I made all year!

Quick response, PJ came out that evening for an estimate, and started just 2 days later. Did some initial debug work to isolate the problem (was it the water main or the irrigation), so I wouldn't fix something that didn't need it. Ended up being the water main - got a really fair price (flat fee / foot - at / better than all other other phone quotes I got from 4 star or higher places), they went out of their way to do a great job, stayed late to finish it up so we could have water the same day, and but came back the next day to make sure that the leak was gone before they closed everything up.

Great folks to work with - I'd recommend them to anyone and will use them for any plumbing needs I have.

Very poor customer service experience. After much effort to get on the phone and talk with Nelson plumbing about re-piping my entire house, I've conceded that they have no intent on contacting me and their professional sounding customer service line is poorly managed and organized making it frustrating to speak directly with the company. Nelson Plumbing didn't even have the courtesy to call me back and say they were to busy. A highly rated company starts with how they deal with their customers on the front end.

Why I called them: After discovering a slow leak under my kitchen sink that did a lot of damage I called Alfred Williams plumbing. Steve Williams came out and spot fixed the leak at the main joint, but it was obvious to him and myself that the old galvanized pipes in my home are rusting and failing. He recommended Nelson plumbing ( which I now see a yelp trend here ) to come out and do the real big work of replacing all the pipes in my home. He recommended that I get in contact with them immediately because there are still potential leaks that he was not able to fix. He stated ""I never had a customer complain about Nelson Plumbing, I've recommended them for 20 years"".

Well, alright. First time for everything Steve. He gave me the personal phone number of one of the plumbers. After leaving a message and not hearing back from that individual for over 24 hours, I called the yelp number and got their ""customer service"". All my information was taken and the problem stated. I clearly have a big job for them. I waited 48 hours and heard nothing. I then called the ""customer service"" again and asked if I should expect such a long wait to speak with someone. The lady preceded to take all my information again. I asked ""You don't have a record of my pervious call. I've already given you all my information"". She said ""No, I don't have access to previous calls. I'll take your information again and tell them you are calling a second time"". Okay, then. I wait 24 hours, it's now been 4 days since starting this journey to simply speak to someone about a big job. Unfortunately I'm left with having to write this review to confirm as others have stated: They have poor customer service and lack the care to properly manage new customer's inquiries. To bad I'm not a long-term customer; Perhaps they would actually care about my business or at least have the courtesy of letting me understand their availability.

Carrie has saved my life and my house so many times!
She definitely cares about what she does and guarantees her work.
My hubby and I had a water heater leak that almost turned into a flood and she came out on short notice and saved the day.
