Due to a leak, I had Nelson Plumbing replace the main water line from the meter to the house. PJ came out to evaluate the problem, answered all our questions, and provided a written estimate. They did the job just as explained and minimized the time the water had to be shut off. This is the second time I've gone with Nelson Plumbing and I am very satisfied with the job they did.

So I called about my leaky sink and bath tub faucets. They said someone would call me soon. I called 8:30 AM and it is 1:30 PM. Other plumbers called me back within 15 minutes. Thanks for the customer service. Apparently my problem is low on the emergency list, or maybe I am not worth their time.

I have chronic plumbing issues, which requires a plumber to snake the waste line from one end of the house to the other every 15 months. Obviously, my plumbing system is substandard and needs to replaced and probably reconfigured. I called two plumbing companies for estimates and advice, only to be treated as if they just want the job and did not care about addressing the underlying problem. Believe me, I was praying for someone ""normal"" by the time I decided to call Nelson Plumbing, and I am glad that I did. Only Pj and Carrie of Nelson Plumbing actually thought ""outside the box"" and designed a simple yet elegant solution. Plus, their bid was below the other two (by the way, these two companies are highly rated on Yelp), and their work is guaranteed for 10 years. I also had them install a gas line for a cook top and log lighter fireplace. They are meticulous and methodical in their work.

Also, I have been spoiled by them because not only do Pj and Carrie lay out tarps from the kitchen to the master bedroom where the trap door to the crawlspace resides, but they also vacuum and dust mop every night when they leave! They even sweep the garage area and driveway where they have walked. I think they left it cleaner than when they started.

Pj and Carrie are honest and personable, and share their knowledge. I certainly learned a lot about the quality of gas pipes, which currently are terrible because they are made overseas from recycled metal. Gas pipes need to have consistent composition; otherwise, when plumbers start threading the pipes, they tear and will not fit properly. Final analysis: if you have a repipe job, call Nelson Plumbing. You won't be disappointed.

We hired Nelson Plumbing to replace our aging sewer line. Our first bid on the project from another plumber seemed unusually high given the nature of the work, so we called Nelson and one other plumber to analyze the situation. Both Nelson and the other plumber placed similar bids on the work that were much more inline with our expectations. I mention this only to say Nelson didn't try to gouge us at time while other plumbers did, so this fact alone led us to trust Nelson Plumbing.
We ultimately hired Nelson Plumbing because we trusted their bid and were impressed with Carrie. Carrie is an unusually good communicator, and I realize it's rare to utter the words good communicator and contractor in the same sentence. If you need a description of how your plumbing system works, she is the perfect person to give that description.
When it came time to do the work, Carrie and PJ arrived on time each day and did the work they said they were going to do in the amount of time they said they were going to do it. Very professional and very proficient. No complaints at all from us.
We were impressed with Nelson Plumbing and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anybody that needs a plumber.

Carrie and PJ did a copper re-pipe of our home last summer, and our experience was just like the review posted by b.R.c. below. Our older son still talks about how much fun they were to have around. Carrie and PJ take a lot of pride in their work and make sure everything is done to perfection. During our re-pipe, the worked very long hours (frequently late into the night) to make sure everything was done right and that we were completely satisfied with their work. Even late at night, they went out of their way to make sure everything was cleaned spotless before they left for the day. I was especially grateful for their willingness to answer all my questions and teach me about plumbing. Professionals that have been in (and under) our house have commented on the high quality of their work. Could not have asked for a more positive and memorable plumbing experience.

The nearly-70 year old pipes in our house needed replacing and we were recommended Nelson Plumbing by our favorite local plumber. Carrie and PJ are knowledgeable, trustworthy and careful workers. They left the house clean every day, they made sure we had services as they worked and they took care of the permits and inspections for the job. Even when they discovered additional problems, they handled them calmly and carefully. We were completely satisfied with the job well done. The new pipes are great and I highly recommend them.
